The Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media has concluded its promotional tour in India, which covered Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad. The tour aimed to strengthen the Emirate’s presence in international tourism markets and deepen cooperation with the travel and tourism sector in the Indian market.
During the tour, the Department held a series of professional meetings and introductory workshops with travel agents and tour operators. It showcased the diverse tourism assets and experiences offered by Ajman, and explored cooperation opportunities to develop tourism programmes that strengthen the Emirate’s position among the preferred destinations for Indian travellers visiting the UAE.
During the tour, the Department launched the Ajman Partner Tourism Growth Incentive Programme, which aims to support travel-sector partners and encourage them to intensify promotional campaigns for the Emirate. This will contribute to increasing bookings, attracting more visitors and consolidating Ajman’s standing as an attractive tourism destination in the Indian market.
His Excellency Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashimi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media, affirmed that the promotional tour in India reflected the importance of this market within the Department’s strategy to diversify tourism source markets for the Emirate. He noted that it provided an important opportunity to engage directly with partners, understand their needs and explore new opportunities for cooperation.
He stated that these meetings contribute to the design of more competitive and attractive tourism experiences and programmes, noting that the launch of the Ajman Partner Programme represents a practical step from promotion to incentivisation, while strengthening partners’ role in supporting the growth of the Emirate’s tourism sector.
The tour forms part of the Department’s efforts to enhance Ajman’s presence in major tourism markets and open new channels of cooperation with the international travel sector. It contributes to diversifying the Emirate’s tourism source markets and enhancing its competitiveness and attractiveness, in line with Ajman Vision 2030.
With the conclusion of the tour, Ajman continues to consolidate its presence in the Indian market by building professional partnerships, developing growth-stimulating programmes and offering tourism experiences that strengthen the Emirate’s position among the interests of Indian travellers, opening the way for a new phase of cooperation and shared opportunities.
