The Department of Tourism, Culture & Media - Ajman has concluded its participation in World Travel Market London (WTM London 2026), held at ExCeL London from 3 to 5 November, where it showcased the emirate’s tourism, cultural and heritage assets as part of its efforts to strengthen Ajman’s presence in international markets, promote its tourism experiences and attract more visitors.
The Department highlighted the diversity of Ajman’s tourism offering, including its natural and heritage sites, evolving cultural landscape, authentic hospitality and experiences that enable visitors to discover the emirate’s identity and distinctive character. The participation also provided opportunities to engage with representatives of tourism destinations and travel companies, and explore avenues for cooperation to expand the reach of the emirate’s tourism products and experiences across target markets.
His Excellency Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashimi, Director General of the Department of Tourism, Culture & Media - Ajman, said that participation in international exhibitions and promotional roadshows is a strategic tool for strengthening the emirate’s competitiveness and expanding its presence in global markets. Such events provide opportunities for direct engagement with industry partners, gaining insights into market characteristics and needs, and building relationships that open new avenues for cooperation, support the diversification of tourism source markets, and enhance the sector’s contribution to economic development.
He added that the value of such participation lies in transforming Ajman’s tourism assets into opportunities for growth and expansion by showcasing the emirate’s experiences and connecting them with travel and tourism channels. He affirmed that, through its continued presence in international markets, the Department is working to further establish Ajman as a comprehensive tourism destination and expand partnerships that support the sector’s growth and broaden the reach of the emirate’s tourism experiences across target markets.
