His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, inaugurated the Ajman Ladies Hub in the Al Humaidiya area, in the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality & Planning Department; His Excellency Dr Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs; His Excellency Khaled Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Authority; and a number of officials and strategic partners.
His Highness toured the Hub’s facilities and reviewed its programmes. He was also briefed on its operational model, which was developed through a participatory process involving young women, parents and partners, with the aim of designing a hub that reflects the needs of the local community and delivers programmes shaped by the aspirations and priorities of young women.
The inauguration coincides with International Youth Day and forms part of the Federal Youth Authority’s efforts to develop the network of youth centres across the UAE. It also reflects the UAE’s approach to investing in people by providing quality environments that enable young people to develop their capabilities, broaden opportunities for participation and reinforce their role in advancing the development journey, in line with the objectives of the National Youth Agenda 2031.
His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi said that the Emirate of Ajman, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, remains committed to investing in people, as the fundamental pillar of the development journey and the principal driver of sustained national achievements.
His Highness affirmed that Ajman supports initiatives that empower young people and young women, develop their capabilities, expand the scope of their participation and consolidate their contribution across various sectors, in keeping with the UAE’s vision and aspirations for a more competitive and prosperous future.
He added: “The Ajman Ladies Hub represents a significant addition to the UAE’s youth empowerment system and a step that expands opportunities for young women and strengthens their presence across various fields. It consolidates their role as partners in the development journey and embodies the Emirati approach to empowering all sons and daughters of the nation, while providing them with opportunities to contribute to shaping the future.”
For his part, His Excellency Dr Sultan Al Neyadi said that young people in the UAE enjoy exceptional support from the wise leadership, which has made youth empowerment a firmly established national approach through an integrated framework of policies and initiatives that strengthen the role of young men and women, based on the firm conviction that they are a pivotal pillar of the nation’s development and achievements.
He added: “The Ajman Ladies Hub embodies the UAE’s vision of providing quality environments that nurture the potential of young women and offer programmes grounded in their lived experiences and aspirations. It provides them with opportunities to learn, experiment, innovate and hone their capabilities, while transforming ideas into meaningful initiatives that enhance their readiness to contribute effectively to the service of society and the nation.”
The Hub serves young women between the ages of 13 and 35 through an integrated package of programmes and initiatives focused on future skills, character development, leadership, entrepreneurship, volunteering and quality of life. It also provides stimulating spaces for learning, experimentation and innovation, strengthening their readiness for active participation in society.
The Hub is structured around four main pillars: empowerment and capacity building; innovation and creativity; community participation and leadership; and quality of life and wellbeing. Through specialised programmes, it supports the development of personal and professional skills, encourages innovation, reinforces social responsibility and enhances quality of life.
The Federal Youth Authority also presented the outcomes of the foundational programme that preceded the Hub’s inauguration. Based on dialogue sessions and participatory workshops involving young women, parents and partners, the programme contributed to developing the operational model, mapping out an initial programme roadmap, building supportive partnerships to ensure the Hub’s sustainability, and developing initiatives that reflect the needs of young women and align with the priorities of the community in the Emirate of Ajman.
