The Emirates Arabian Horse Society, in cooperation with the Ajman Equestrian Club and the Ajman Youth Council, has concluded the final phase of the National Judges Qualification Programme for the 2025–2026 season. The phase was held from 11 to 13 June at the Ajman Youth Centre and the Ajman Equestrian Club, with the participation of certified trainers from the European Conference of Arabian Horse Organisations (ECAHO).
The programme forms part of the Society’s efforts to support and develop national competencies in the field of judging Arabian horse beauty championships, and to prepare qualified cadres to participate in local and international competitions in accordance with the highest accredited professional standards.
The programme’s activities commenced on 11 June with a judging workshop attended by a number of individuals with an interest in Arabian horse beauty judging. The workshop focused on the theoretical and practical aspects of judging criteria and professional evaluation methods, contributing to the enhancement of participants’ capabilities and equipping them with internationally recognised foundations in this field.
A workshop and training course for national judges were held at the Ajman Youth Centre on 12 and 13 June, with the participation of a number of national judges who received specialised training aimed at strengthening their technical competencies and updating their knowledge of judging practices — ensuring the consistent and accurate application of judging standards in Arabian horse competitions.
The programme aims to qualify national judges and advance their professional rankings, enhance their readiness to participate in judging local and international championships, and prepare them to sit the ECAHO international accreditation examination — thereby supporting the presence of Emirati talent within the international Arabian horse beauty judging ecosystem.
The practical components of the programme included participation in a number of accredited competitions during the season, among them the UAE National Arabian Horse Beauty Championship, the UAE Arabian Horse Breeders Championship, the Ajman Arabian Horse Beauty Championship 2026, and the Ramadan Arabian Horse Beauty Championship in Abu Dhabi. These events provided participants with diverse field opportunities to gain practical experience across different judging environments.
The programme contributed to assessing the technical level of participating judges, raising their readiness for the international examination, and strengthening the presence of national talent within the Arabian horse beauty judging ecosystem — in support of supplying both the local and international arenas with qualified Emirati judges who meet the highest professional standards.
His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi, Director General of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society, stated that the National Judges Qualification Programme is one of the strategic programmes implemented by the Society to prepare and qualify specialised Emirati cadres in the judging of Arabian horse beauty championships, and to raise their competency in accordance with the highest internationally accredited standards.
Al Harbi affirmed the Society’s commitment to continuing to support and develop national competencies, thereby enhancing their presence and active participation in various local and international forums.
