5,976 Trainees in “Ajman Transport” Programmes During 2025
The Transport Authority in Ajman has revealed the implementation of a comprehensive package of specialized training programmes during 2025, targeting taxi drivers and school bus drivers and supervisors, with a total of 5,976 trainees benefiting from them, as part of ongoing institutional efforts to enhance workforce efficiency and improve the quality of transport services in the Emirate.
The Authority explained that the programmes included 2,148 trainees from taxi drivers, 1,832 trainees from school bus drivers, alongside 1,996 trainees from school bus supervisors, reflecting the broad scope of training and diversity of target groups.
In the same context, it reported organizing 776 training courses dedicated to taxi drivers during the same year, focusing on developing professional skills, enhancing operational performance, and adhering to traffic safety requirements.
The Authority confirmed that the training themes were diverse, encompassing methods of dealing with the public, awareness of traffic safety laws, first aid, ways to avoid accidents, alongside consolidating professional conduct and commitment to professional ethics, which positively impacts the customer experience and the level of safety on the roads.
These initiatives come within the Authority’s strategy aimed at building a safe and organized transport system, enhancing community confidence in transport services, and contributing to improving the quality of life in the Emirate of Ajman.
