Ajman Media Office and LinkedIn Sign MoU to Enhance Digital Government Communication in the Emirate

The Ajman Government Media Office signed a Memorandum of Understanding with LinkedIn, the professional networking platform, to develop the emirate’s media and digital government communication system, and enhance the presence of government entities on the world’s largest professional platform according to the best adopted standards and practices.

The MoU was signed as part of the Ajman Government’s participation in the Bridge Summit held in Abu Dhabi. It aims to establish a comprehensive framework for cooperation between the two parties, contributing to improving the digital media performance of government entities, supporting the building of a reliable official digital identity, and enhancing institutional visibility on the LinkedIn platform with professionalism that accurately and effectively reflects the Ajman Government’s media message.

Under the agreement, LinkedIn will support the procedures for (verifying government accounts) on the platform and cooperate in developing digital media content in accordance with adopted publishing policies and in line with the emirate’s aspirations to develop its communication with local and global audiences.

The memorandum also includes implementing periodic training and awareness programs targeting the capacity building of government communication teams, through training on using the platform’s advanced tools, content management, and data analysis, in addition to organizing awareness sessions on technical updates and best practices in the institutional use of the LinkedIn platform.

His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Kaabi, Executive Director of the Ajman Government Media Office, affirmed that signing the MoU comes within the Office’s strategy to enhance the emirate’s presence in the digital space.

He said: “At the Media Office, we are working to build an advanced government communication system based on professionalism and innovation. Our partnership with LinkedIn represents an important step toward expanding the presence of government entities on the professional networking platform and ensuring the delivery of distinguished content that reflects the Ajman Government’s vision and future aspirations.”

He added: “Through this agreement, we seek to empower communication teams in government departments and institutions with modern digital tools that help them deliver government messages with higher efficiency and enhance interaction with the public and partners through an influential global platform.”

His Excellency Mohammed Al Kaabi continued: “This cooperation between the Ajman Government Media Office and LinkedIn confirms the emirate’s commitment to enhancing its digital presence and developing its institutional media discourse, in line with its future vision and enhancing its position in the global digital media landscape.”

For her part, Amal Al Balushi, Director of Media Development Department at the Media Office, explained that the memorandum will contribute to knowledge transfer and developing the media skills of government personnel. She said: “Developing the capabilities of government communication teams represents a fundamental pillar in our work, and this partnership provides qualitative training opportunities that help develop content production skills, digital reputation management, and leveraging analytics and data to enhance the quality of media work.”

Al Balushi added: “We aspire to build a pioneering government media model in Ajman that relies on the latest tools and methodologies, reflects the emirate’s identity and position, and contributes to raising the level of positive interaction with the public inside and outside the country.”
