Ajman Chamber Organises Food Business Groups Meeting to Discuss Supply Chains
The Ajman Chamber organised a meeting for business groups in the food sector to discuss developments in food supply chains and strengthen coordination between relevant government and private sector entities, in support of the efficiency and sustainability of this vital sector.
The meeting, held at the Chamber’s headquarters, was chaired by His Excellency Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Ajman Chamber, in the presence of Mohammed Ali Al Janahi, Executive Director of the Member Support Services Sector, and Jameela Kajour Al Nuaimi, Director of the Member Relations and Support Department, alongside representatives of government and private entities from food factories, food companies and shopping centres.
Al Suwaidi affirmed the importance of strengthening coordination and intensifying joint efforts between the public and private sectors, and adopting innovative and proactive solutions to enhance the efficiency of the food security system in line with global developments. He commended the efforts of government entities in monitoring markets and ensuring the availability of essential commodities and the stability of their prices.
He also praised the role of factories and companies operating in the food sector in supporting the food security system and achieving advanced levels of self-sufficiency through the development of their production capacities and the adoption of innovation.
The meeting discussed the action plan for the next phase to ensure the continuity and resilience of food supply chains, through the development of coordination mechanisms, the enhancement of storage and transport efficiency, and the adoption of innovative solutions.
Participants also reviewed development proposals and ideas to strengthen the role of business groups in achieving the targets of Ajman Vision.
