The Faculty of Law at City University Ajman, in collaboration with the Department of Legal Affairs of the Ajman Government, is organising an international scientific conference entitled “Legislative Innovation and Artificial Intelligence in the United Arab Emirates”, on 18 and 19 May, with the participation of a distinguished selection of academics, experts, and specialists.
The first day of the conference will be held in person at the University’s campus in Ajman, whilst the sessions of the second day will be conducted remotely, enabling broader participation from experts and researchers both within the United Arab Emirates and beyond.
The conference is being organised against the backdrop of the rapid transformations taking place in the fields of technology and artificial intelligence, and the consequent necessity of developing a flexible and innovative legislative framework that keeps pace with these changes and enhances the country’s competitiveness and leadership.
The conference will address a number of vital themes, most prominently the role of artificial intelligence in developing legislation and reviewing global experiences, alongside an examination of the challenges facing legislative innovation and the means of addressing them, thereby contributing to the support of sustainable development and the enhancement of the investment environment.
The conference also aims to strengthen dialogue between decision-makers, academics, and legal experts, and to facilitate the exchange of expertise in support of the development of an advanced legislative environment that keeps pace with the UAE’s future vision.
The conference is expected to witness broad participation from specialists and government entities, affirming the importance of integration across various sectors in supporting legislative innovation.
