The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media held discussions with the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Dubai and the Northern Emirates on the prospects for cooperation in the fields of investment, tourism, and culture, during an official visit by a German consular delegation to the Emirate.
His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of the Ajman Chamber Board of Directors, received at the Chamber’s headquarters His Excellency Sibylle Pfaff, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, where discussions were held on ways to strengthen economic cooperation, develop direct investments, and explore partnership opportunities across a number of vital sectors.
The meeting was attended by Mohammed Ali Al Janahi, Executive Director of the Member Support Services Sector, and Ali Rashid Al Kaitob, Executive Director of the Studies and Investment Development Sector. The German consular delegation included Marco Lorenz, Consul for Cultural and Economic Affairs, and a number of officials.
His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi affirmed the depth and solidity of the strategic relations between the UAE and the Federal Republic of Germany, and the continued growth they are witnessing in the fields of economic cooperation. He commended the joint efforts to strengthen mutual investments and increase the volume of trade between the two countries.
He stated that the Emirate of Ajman offers an attractive and investment-stimulating business environment, underpinned by an integrated ecosystem that supports ease of doing business in accordance with global best practices and in alignment with the targets of Ajman Vision 2030.
He added that government entities in the Emirate, guided and overseen by the wise leadership, continue to develop government services and procedures in a sustained and innovative manner — meeting the aspirations of the business community and cementing Ajman’s standing as an attractive investment destination at both the regional and international levels.
The Ajman Chamber meeting showcased the investment and competitive assets of the Emirate and the promising opportunities available to German investors — particularly in the sectors of advanced industries, education, tourism, logistics, and modern technologies — alongside discussions on the prospects for cooperation and knowledge exchange in the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Both sides affirmed the importance of continued communication and joint coordination to enhance the participation of companies and institutions in the exhibitions and economic and investment events organised by both countries, and to leverage these platforms in building quality partnerships, exchanging expertise, and exploring new investment and commercial opportunities.
His Excellency Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashimi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media, also received His Excellency Sibylle Pfaff and the accompanying delegation, which included representatives of the German Cultural Attaché and the German-Emirati Joint Council of Industry and Commerce (AHK). The two sides discussed prospects for cooperation in the fields of tourism marketing and the organisation of cultural and artistic events, contributing to the consolidation of relations and the enhancement of tourism and cultural exchange.
The Department’s team presented its tourism promotion plans targeting the German market and the efforts being made to attract German visitors to the Emirate, alongside future cooperation opportunities and joint initiatives that support the tourism sector and cement Ajman’s presence as a prominent destination in European markets.
The team highlighted the promotional plans’ inclusion of diverse tourism tour programmes and cultural exhibitions and events that reflect the authentic civilisational identity of the Emirate of Ajman, whilst underscoring the Department’s presence in international markets through its representative office — serving as a direct point of contact with tourism agencies and organisers in the targeted European markets.
His Excellency Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashimi stated that the Department looks forward to building a genuine partnership with the German side that goes beyond the boundaries of conventional cooperation, extending to joint initiatives with tangible impact. He affirmed that the Emirate of Ajman possesses unique tourism and cultural assets that qualify it to be a preferred destination for the German traveller.
He added that the Department is determined to translate this meeting into concrete steps that strengthen Ajman’s presence in the European market and support its efforts to promote the Emirate as a prominent tourism and cultural destination.
For her part, His Excellency Sibylle Pfaff expressed her appreciation for the tourism and cultural potential she had witnessed in the Emirate of Ajman and for the efforts of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Media in this field. She noted that UAE-German relations, with their depth of economic and cultural ties, provide an opportunity to add a distinguished tourism dimension to the cooperation between the two sides.
She stated that the tourism experience Ajman offers — combining cultural heritage with openness to the world — makes it a prominent destination on the European tourism map for those heading to the region.
