The delegation of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media has concluded a promotional tour across the Chinese cities of Changsha, Wuhan, and Guangzhou, resulting in the signing of 20 strategic cooperation agreements with leading companies and institutions operating in the tourism sector — establishing a new phase of fruitful partnerships with the Chinese market and supporting the Emirate’s competitiveness on the global tourism map.
The delegation, led by His Excellency Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashimi, Director General of the Department, held a series of meetings across the three cities with senior officials and representatives of a select group of companies and institutions specialising in the tourism and travel sector. The meetings addressed prospects for cooperation and discussed a number of initiatives and proposals put forward by the participating entities.
These meetings culminated in the signing of 7 strategic partnership agreements in Changsha — one of China’s most prominent economic and cultural centres — 6 agreements in Wuhan, and 7 agreements in Guangzhou.
The agreements aim to strengthen cooperation and tourism and cultural exchange between both sides, and to support the development of joint initiatives in this important sector.
His Excellency Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashimi affirmed that the outcomes of the tour represent a practical translation of the Department’s strategy to forge sustainable international partnerships with the world’s most significant tourism-generating markets — driving development in the Emirate and cementing its standing as a leading tourism and cultural destination at the international level.
He stated: “The tour succeeded in building constructive strategic relationships with the most prominent partners in China’s tourism sector, and in signing agreements that will support efforts to promote the attractive investment environment that Ajman offers — an environment rich in promising opportunities for international partnerships — as well as developing joint tourism programmes that meet the aspirations of the Chinese market and contribute to enhancing the tourism sector’s contribution to sustainable economic development.”
This tour represents a milestone in the Department’s journey towards expanding the Emirate of Ajman’s international presence and consolidating a model built on effective strategic partnerships — enhancing the sustainability of tourism growth and supporting the Emirate’s standing as a destination that combines heritage and modernity, offering tourism and cultural experiences to world-class standards.
