AED 17.4 Billion Value of Construction Contracts in Ajman During 2025 with Record Growth of 80%
The Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman has announced that the construction sector in the Emirate achieved a qualitative leap during 2025, with the value of construction contracts exceeding AED 17 billion and 411 million during 2025, while the number of building permits issued reached 5,719 permits.
These results represent an increase exceeding AED 7 billion and 756 million, a growth of 80% compared to 2024, an achievement that reflects the accelerated growth witnessed by the construction and building sector, confirms the Emirate’s position as a promising investment destination, and aligns with the directions of Ajman Vision 2030 to create a civilized environment that enhances the Emirate’s attractiveness and quality of life.
In this regard, His Excellency Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, affirmed that the results achieved during 2025 represent a prominent milestone in the urban development journey in the Emirate of Ajman, noting that the significant increase in the value of construction contracts reflects the confidence of investors and developers in the flexible regulatory and legislative environment provided by the Emirate.
His Excellency explained that this growth integrates with sustainable work efforts to enhance quality of life and build an integrated urban environment that supports economic growth and meets the aspirations of residents and investors.
For his part, Dr Engineer Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector at the Department, stated that the value of contracts achieved a positive leap compared to 2024 when it reached AED 9 billion and 655 million, with the number of permits recording 4,898 permits in the same year, embodying the accelerated movement and increasing activity in urban, residential and commercial development projects, affirming the Department’s commitment to providing highly efficient services that contribute to expediting procedures and ensuring the highest quality standards.
He noted that the Buildings Department continues to work on developing the building licensing system through complete digital transformation and employing modern technologies and artificial intelligence, ensuring the completion of transactions with accuracy and speed, and supporting the Emirate’s competitiveness in local and global performance indicators.
It is worth mentioning that the Department continues to work in cooperation with various strategic partners to ensure integration between urban planning and sustainable development requirements, and to support the comprehensive development journey witnessed by the Emirate in various sectors.
