The Education Sector Business Groups at the Ajman Chamber affirmed the importance of developing teachers’ skills and empowering them to use modern artificial intelligence tools and technologies, including robotics and digital learning tools, in line with the rapid transformations taking place in the education sector, contributing to the elevation of educational outcomes and the promotion of innovation within learning environments.
This was stated during a joint meeting held at the Chamber’s headquarters, chaired by Dr. Kareem Al Saghir, Chairman of the Education Sector Business Groups and Director of Ajman University, and attended by His Excellency Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Ajman Chamber, Mohammed Al Janahi, Executive Director of the Member Support Services Sector, and Jameela Kajour Al Nuaimi, Director of Member Relations and Support, along with a number of officials and representatives of educational entities in the Emirate.
The meeting discussed ways to develop the educational environment and strengthen partnership and cooperation between universities and schools with the aim of exchanging expertise, as well as reviewing teacher licensing procedures and affirming the importance of integrating artificial intelligence technologies and future skills into the educational system.
Dr. Kareem Al Saghir stated that the Education Sector Business Groups play a leading role in developing the sector, improving the quality of its services, and enhancing the alignment of its outcomes with labour market requirements. He noted that the education sector is among the priorities of Ajman Vision 2030 and receives considerable attention and support from the Emirate’s leadership, given its pivotal role in achieving sustainable development and building a knowledge-based economy.
Attendees emphasised the necessity of continuously training educators in the use of modern tools, including artificial intelligence technologies, robotics, and digital teaching tools, contributing to the development of teaching methods and raising the efficiency of the educational process, in addition to strengthening cooperation and integration among educational institutions.
The meeting also addressed the need to develop teacher licensing policies and draw up plans to attract distinguished educational competencies in cooperation with relevant entities, particularly given that the Emirate of Ajman is home to a wide range of reputable universities and schools, enhancing the competitiveness of the education sector and elevating the quality of its outcomes.
Those present affirmed the important role of universities and schools in equipping students with the skills necessary for a smooth transition from school to university education, through the organisation of specialised sessions and workshops in this regard, thereby enhancing student readiness and supporting their academic journey, with a focus on guiding them towards selecting the most suitable specialisations in accordance with their abilities, interests, and labour market needs.
At the conclusion of the meeting, attendees recommended the formation of a joint working team to identify the key strengths and challenges in the education sector and develop improvement proposals, alongside holding regular meetings to follow up on the implementation of initiatives and the achievement of the Education Sector Business Groups’ objectives.
