The launch of the “National Education Charter” coincides with “UAE Education Day”, which falls on the twenty-eighth of February each year, affirming the national symbolism of this day and embodying the State’s renewed commitment to consolidating education as a sustainable approach in its development journey.

The Charter embodies the UAE’s comprehensive vision for the future of education, and clearly defines the features of the Emirati learner, around whom an educational system is centred that is firmly rooted in identity, internationally competitive in standard and sustainable in impact, contributing to enhancing the State’s competitiveness and consolidating its knowledge leadership. His Highness stated that building a person who takes pride in his national identity, is committed to his Arabic language and authentic values, and is qualified with future skills, represents a national priority and a strategic goal that we work to achieve through an integrated national educational system that places the learner at the heart of the development process, and establishes a new phase of education based on clarity of purpose, consistency of policies and sustainability of impact.

His Highness affirmed that education is the path to achieving the UAE’s vision, which requires enhancing sector governance and developing its policies in a sustainable manner that keeps pace with national ambitions, noting that the Charter represents a roadmap for elevating the education sector and achieving its national targets.
