The Ajman Government Human Resources Department, in cooperation with Majid Al Futtaim, organised an “Open Day for Immediate Job Interviews”, which achieved positive results in supporting the employment of national talent. This reflects the initiative’s effectiveness in accelerating jobseekers’ access to the career opportunities they seek and enhancing the alignment of their skills and capabilities with labour-market needs.
The Open Day welcomed jobseekers holding secondary-school certificates and gave them the opportunity to attend direct, on-the-spot interviews with recruitment officials from Majid Al Futtaim.
The results achieved affirm the importance of direct recruitment channels in enhancing the efficiency of the employment system by providing an interactive platform that brings jobseekers and employers together in one environment. This contributes to accelerating procedures and achieving a more precise alignment between national talent and the requirements of available private-sector roles.
Fares Abdulaziz Al Mandous, Director of the Talent Empowerment Department at the Ajman Government Human Resources Department, affirmed that the results achieved by the Open Day reflect the importance of designing employment programmes around mechanisms focused on tangible outcomes. He noted that the success of such programmes is measured by their capacity to attract jobseekers and convert candidate referrals into genuine and sustainable career opportunities.
Al Mandous stated: “We are committed to developing practical employment pathways that shorten the distance between jobseekers and the right opportunity, enabling them to showcase their capabilities and engage directly with employers. The positive results achieved by the Open Day affirm the effectiveness of this approach and motivate us to continue developing tools and initiatives that are more responsive to labour-market needs, while opening broader career horizons for national talent in the private sector.”
These efforts form part of the Department’s direction towards empowering and developing human capital and enhancing its productive participation in the labour market. They support Emiratisation targets and are aligned with Ajman Vision 2030’s direction towards building a cohesive society and a competitive, sustainable economy.
