Ajman Chamber and the Embassy of Bangladesh Explore Opportunities to Develop Trade Exchange and Strengthen Partnerships

His Excellency Engineer Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ajman Chamber, received His Excellency Tareq Ahmed, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the UAE, to discuss prospects for economic cooperation, developing trade exchange, and strengthening partnerships between the business communities of Ajman and Bangladesh.

The meeting, held at the Chamber’s headquarters, was attended by His Excellency Mohammed Khalifa bin Salmeen Al Aryani, Member of the Board of Directors of Ajman Chamber; Aisha Al Khatri, Head of the Asset Investment Section at Ajman Chamber; and Tawhid Imam, Counsellor at the Embassy of Bangladesh.

His Excellency Engineer Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Muwaiji welcomed the attendees and affirmed the importance of strengthening economic cooperation and developing trade exchange between the two sides in light of the promising opportunities available. He noted in particular the growth in re-export activity between Ajman and Bangladesh, which rose by 46% during 2025, creating new opportunities to expand partnerships between the two business communities.

For his part, His Excellency Tareq Ahmed reviewed the key industrial strengths of Bangladesh’s garment industry as one of the world’s largest ready-made garment manufacturing hubs. He also outlined available investment opportunities in agriculture, the food and pharmaceutical industries, and the promising opportunities these sectors offer to strengthen cooperation between the two sides.

The meeting recommended the organization of business meetings bringing together garment and textile factories and companies in Ajman and their counterparts in Bangladesh to discuss opportunities for developing trade exchange and exploring cooperation and partnerships. It also recommended strengthening cooperation in the food and pharmaceutical industries, exchanging expertise, and benefiting from best practices and successful experiences.
