Ajman Municipality & Planning Department Delegation Concludes China Tour with Visit to Shanghai’s “Tomorrow City” Conference and Exhibition

A delegation from Ajman Municipality & Planning Department, led by His Excellency Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, concluded its tour of the People’s Republic of China with a visit to the “Tomorrow City” Conference and Exhibition in Shanghai, to explore the latest solutions and technologies related to the future of cities, sustainable urban development and digital transformation.

The event brought together a number of leaders, experts, officials and representatives of global companies, showcasing the latest solutions and practices that support the development of cities and urban services. This aligns with the Department’s direction towards innovation, efficiency and the development of advanced digital services.

During the visit, the delegation reviewed leading international solutions and practices in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, smart mobility, energy and the environment, and public services, as well as technologies that contribute to enhancing city efficiency and quality of life.

His Excellency Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi affirmed that concluding the tour with a visit to this event enabled the delegation to explore advanced international experiences in city development and benefit from them in supporting Ajman’s ongoing development journey.

He stated that the Department is committed to strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise with global entities and institutions, while exploring advanced solutions in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, sustainability and urban development, in support of service development and greater efficiency.

He noted that the conference and exhibition provide a platform for exchanging perspectives and expertise on the future of cities through discussion sessions, specialised meetings, and the presentation of innovations and technological solutions.

The Department’s delegation included Dr Engineer Khalid Moeen Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector; His Excellency Yousef Mohammed Al Shaiba, Executive Director of the Rental Regulation Sector; and Mr Ibrahim Samra Al Shihi, Director of the Communication and Community Department.

The visit to the conference and exhibition concluded a tour that included a number of visits and meetings to explore Chinese experiences and practices in technology, innovation, digital transformation, media and government services, and to examine opportunities to benefit from them in Ajman’s institutional and urban development initiatives.
