Ajman Summer 2026 Continues Its Positive Results with 126 Programmes and 3,106 Beneficiaries

The Ajman Government’s summer programme, Ajman Summer 2026, continued to achieve positive results that surpassed its set targets, amid broad participation from students, youth, and members of the community, and sustained diversity across sporting, scientific, cultural, community, voluntary, and recreational programmes.

The activities saw the implementation of 126 programmes and activities across the various participating centres and entities, benefiting 3,106 participants against a target of 2,805, bringing the overall achievement rate to 110.7%, reflecting the high level of turnout and the programme’s ability to attract various age groups and community segments.

The programmes were distributed across the boys’ and girls’ summer centres, the Scientific and Cultural Centres, community programmes, programmes delivered by government and private entities, voluntary and humanitarian initiatives, programmes for People of Determination, and recreational competitions. Several tracks recorded achievement rates that exceeded their targets, most notably community programmes at 165%, the Scientific Summer Centre at 164%, and voluntary and humanitarian programmes at 141.5%.

The Boys’ Summer Centre delivered five programmes benefiting 455 participants against a target of 450, achieving an achievement rate of 101.1%. The programmes included swimming, sports activities, taekwondo, national service preparation, and physical fitness, with sports activities recording the highest participation at 218 beneficiaries, followed by the swimming programme with 118 beneficiaries.

At the Girls’ Summer Centre, 61 programmes and workshops were delivered as part of “Life Skills Week”, with cumulative participation reaching 787, a daily average attendance of 197, and an overall achievement rate of 98.5%. The 7–12 age group accounted for the largest share of participants with 677 participations, while the 13–18 age group recorded 110 participations. Tuesday registered the highest daily attendance with 223 participants.

The Scientific Summer Centre saw notable demand for its 3D Printing programme, which attracted 41 participants against a target of 25, achieving an achievement rate of 164%, reflecting students’ interest in modelling and digital manufacturing technologies and their desire to acquire modern scientific and technical skills.

The Cultural Summer Centre delivered 16 cultural, heritage, and artistic workshops and events, with cumulative attendance reaching 1,204 participations over four days at a daily average of 301. Activities included Majlis traditions, coffee preparation and aspects of traditional daily life, the Arabic language, Quranic recitation, drawing, creative writing, Arabic calligraphy, acting, and dhow-building, alongside the “Sandooq Al Watan” event, which recorded 600 participations, and the “Teach Me, Grandfather” programme, which attracted 253 participants.

Community programmes recorded a distinguished turnout, benefiting 198 participants against a target of 120 and achieving an achievement rate of 165%. The four programmes — “Pasta of the Good-Hearted,” “An Outing with My Father Hamad,” “A Trip to the Aquatic Reserve,” and “Draw with My Mum and Dad” — brought together 133 senior citizens and 65 children, combining recreation, family interaction, and the strengthening of intergenerational bonds.

Government and private entities implemented 27 programmes benefiting 1,149 participants against a target of 971, with an achievement rate of 118.3%. These programmes covered health, artificial intelligence, Emirati culture, civil defence, future skills, family awareness, entrepreneurship, and leadership development, reflecting the integrated efforts of participating entities in delivering diverse knowledge-based and practical content.

Voluntary and humanitarian programmes also recorded notable engagement, benefiting 92 participants against a target of 65, achieving an achievement rate of 141.5%. The initiatives included the “Nubrid Alayhim” programme, the “Be an Impactful Volunteer” workshop, and the “Library of Benevolence” initiative, contributing to instilling the values of giving, volunteerism, and social responsibility among participants.

The Sports Centre for People of Determination continued to deliver its specialised programmes, benefiting 335 participants through four sporting and artistic programmes that achieved 100% of their set targets. Activities included athletics, goalball for the visually impaired, wheelchair basketball, table tennis, and badminton, alongside an art workshop on drawing and its techniques.

Five competitions and recreational events were also organised, resulting in 39 winners, with all achieving 100% of their set targets. These included a Ministry of Family event, competitions organised by the Ajman Girls Centre, and community initiatives implemented in cooperation with several entities and institutions.

His Excellency Ahmed Al Raeesi, Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee for Ajman Summer 2026, said the programmes focused on developing the skills of children and young people through diverse educational, sporting, cultural, and recreational activities that helped discover their talents and strengthen their self-confidence within a safe and stimulating environment.

He added that the strong turnout and the fact that several programmes exceeded their targets reflect the quality of the content delivered and its alignment with participants’ interests. He affirmed the programme’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality initiatives that provide genuine benefits to children and their families, and extended his appreciation to the participating entities, organising teams, trainers, and volunteers for their efforts in ensuring the success of the activities and enhancing the programme’s positive impact.
