Ajman Civil Defence Launches Inspection Campaign on Industrial Establishments to Enhance Safety

The General Department of Civil Defence in Ajman has launched an inspection campaign targeting industrial establishments as part of its efforts to strengthen the prevention and safety framework and ensure compliance with approved requirements, contributing to the reduction of fire risks and the protection of lives and property.

The campaign focuses on verifying the safe and orderly storage of raw materials and products, particularly flammable materials, ensuring that permitted quantities are not exceeded and that safe distances are maintained between materials. These measures enhance establishments’ readiness and reduce risk factors.

The campaign also emphasises the need to keep emergency exits, evacuation routes and assembly points free of obstructions, ensuring swift evacuation and facilitating the access of emergency response teams when required.

The Department affirmed the importance of regular maintenance of firefighting and alarm systems, as well as training employees on evacuation plans and the initial response to incidents. This raises safety awareness within industrial establishments and supports their readiness to deal with emergencies.

The General Department of Civil Defence in Ajman called on establishment owners and employees to comply with prevention and safety requirements, as a shared responsibility and an essential means of preventing incidents and establishing a safer and more prepared industrial environment.
