A delegation from the Ajman Municipality & Planning Department, led by His Excellency Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, reviewed the experience of the Government Service Centre in Shanghai’s Minhang District, People’s Republic of China, in delivering integrated services, developing government operating models and advancing digital transformation.
The delegation included Dr Engineer Khaled Moeen Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector; His Excellency Yousuf Mohammed Al Shaiba, Executive Director of the Rental Regulation Sector; and Ibrahim Samra Al Shahi, Director of the Department’s Communication and Community Management Department.
During the visit, the delegation was introduced to the nature of the Centre’s work. The Centre serves as an integrated platform for the provision of government services to businesses and individuals, bringing together administrative approvals, public services and advisory services under one roof, within a system designed to facilitate customer access to services and raise procedural efficiency.
The delegation reviewed the Centre’s service-delivery model, which is founded on the unified intake of applications, coordination among different government entities, and the use of Shanghai’s unified electronic and in-person government services platform. This strengthens institutional integration and contributes to improving the customer experience and delivering services in a more accessible, efficient and organised manner.
The Centre also presented its key services in the areas of company registration, project approval and implementation, alongside its efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and develop the business environment in Minhang District.
His Excellency Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi affirmed that the Ajman Municipality & Planning Department is committed to strengthening cooperation and the exchange of expertise with leading entities in the field of distinguished government services and to benefiting from international experiences in developing its service ecosystem and advancing digital transformation.
He stated that reviewing integrated government operating models contributes to supporting the Department’s efforts to unify service-delivery pathways, facilitate the customer journey and improve the quality of services provided, in line with the aspirations of the community and the needs of customers.
He added that the Department continues to develop an innovative and integrated government services ecosystem founded on efficiency, proactivity and the use of digital solutions, supporting the Emirate of Ajman’s digital transformation objectives, enhancing quality of life and advancing sustainable development.
