Ajman Transport Authority Issues More Than 4,800 Permits in the First Half of 2026

The Ajman Transport Authority announced that it issued more than 4,800 permits during the first half of 2026, covering a range of transport-related services and operational activities across the Emirate. The achievement reflects the Authority’s ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen compliance with approved regulations and requirements.

During the reporting period, the Authority issued 767 school bus driver permits and 903 school bus supervisor permits. It also issued 2,508 permits for trucks and heavy vehicles operating within the Emirate, representing a 15% increase, in addition to 650 school bus permits.

Eng. Sami Ali Al Jallaf, Executive Director of the Public Transport and Licensing Corporation, said that these indicators reflect the importance of regulating transport services and enhancing safety standards and operational readiness, helping ensure the delivery of safe and well-organised services in accordance with approved regulations and standards.

He added that the Authority continues to streamline and enhance its permit issuance procedures to accelerate transaction processing and improve the quality of services provided to customers, noting that permit applications can be submitted through the Ajman Transport Authority’s official website.

The Ajman Transport Authority reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving its permit services and developing its operational procedures in support of a more efficient transport system across the Emirate, while enhancing the quality of services provided to all customer segments.
