Ammar bin Humaid Receives Ajman Civil Defence Champions Who Won the Firefighters Challenge

His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, received today the champions of the Ajman Civil Defence General Directorate team, which secured first place in the Firefighters Challenge Championship 2026 competitions, held in the Emirate with the participation of 56 firefighters representing Civil Defence General Directorates across the country.

His Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman, during the meeting held at the Ajman Emiri Court in the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the Municipality and Planning Department, Brigadier Raed Obaid Al Zaabi, Director General of the Civil Defence General Directorate in Ajman, and a number of senior officers, expressed his pride in the honourable results achieved by the Civil Defence champions, affirming that this achievement reflects the level of readiness and professional competence enjoyed by firefighters, and their ability to excel in competitions that simulate real field work environments and contribute to enhancing teams’ readiness to deal with various challenges.

His Highness affirmed that the Firefighters Challenge Championship represents a practical model for developing field skills and raising the efficiency of national cadres, alongside consolidating a culture of excellence and positive competition, which positively impacts the safety and emergency response system, and the protection of lives and property.

His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi praised Brigadier Raed Obaid Al Zaabi, Director General of the Civil Defence General Directorate in Ajman, for receiving the Sports Personality of the Year 2025 title, considering this recognition as confirmation of his positive contributions and active role in supporting sports activities and promoting the culture of sports practice, in line with the requirements of field work in the civil defence sector.

His Highness noted the importance of supporting national cadres working in the civil defence and firefighting field, and enabling them to continue development and qualification, given their pivotal role in protecting lives and property and enhancing the public safety system, wishing them continued success and further achievements in upcoming participations.

For their part, the champions of the Ajman Civil Defence General Directorate team expressed their profound gratitude and appreciation to His Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman for this generous reception and continued support, affirming that this attention constitutes a great motivation to continue giving and exerting more efforts to raise performance levels and achieve the highest degrees of readiness and safety in serving the community.

The championship competition results in the individual category saw Ajman Civil Defence win the top three places, with First Lieutenant Mohammed Treim securing first place, Major Nawaf Ateej coming in second place, while First Lieutenant Abdullah Al Nuaimi placed third.

The Civil Defence General Directorate in Ajman also won first place in the pairs category at the firefighters level, alongside being crowned with first place in the teams category.
