Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, and the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, Ajman is organizing the 20th edition of “Ramadan Ajman: Piety and Faith” events, the pioneering Ramadan initiative that contributes to enhancing the spiritual atmosphere and values of compassion and solidarity during the blessed month.

Her Excellency Maryam Al Muamari, Chairwoman of the Higher Events Committee, affirmed at a press conference on Thursday that the events reaching their twentieth edition represents a qualitative achievement reflecting a leadership vision supportive of religious and community work, and the fruit of accumulated efforts and institutional integration that contributed to developing content and raising the level of organization year after year.

She noted that this edition comes with a renewed vision based on investing in previous successes, while expanding and diversifying the scope of programmes in line with community aspirations and enhancing the Emirate’s cultural and religious identity.

She added that “Ramadan Ajman: Piety and Faith” events have become a comprehensive community platform targeting various age groups and community segments, from citizens and residents, drawing inspiration from the spirit of the blessed month to present an integrated model combining worship, knowledge, voluntary work and humanitarian initiatives.

The “Vibrant Mosque” programme is one of the most prominent themes of the events, hosting an elite group of reciters from within and outside the country to enliven Ramadan nights at Amna Al Ghurair Mosque, Sheikh Zayed Mosque, Rashid bin Humaid Mosque, Martyrs of the Nation Mosque, Al Raqayeb Mosque, and Arhamah Al Shuwaihee Mosque, contributing to enriching the spiritual experience for worshippers and enhancing the large attendance witnessed by mosques during the blessed month.

The events also include a series of religious lectures and seminars organized in coordination with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, to ensure content alignment with Sharia controls and the institutional vision for religious work in the country. These lectures address faith-based, educational and social topics that contribute to raising awareness and enhancing moral values, with focus on issues concerning family and society.

Among the prominent community initiatives within the programme is the “Wisal” initiative, which includes organizing a series of field Ramadan events, with the participation of a team of volunteers, to provide spiritual support to various segments of society in various locations such as hospitals, senior citizen centres, People of Determination centres and orphans, aiming to enhance the values of brotherhood and compassion, build bridges of love and social communication between community members, and strengthen social relations between different groups.

The events also include organizing iftar campaigns for fasting individuals, distributing Ramadan provisions, and organizing a collective suhoor for visitors of Amna Al Ghurair Mosque.

Al Muamari affirmed that the success and continuity of the events over twenty years would not have been achieved without the support of partners and sponsors, whose contributions formed a fundamental pillar in expanding the scope of programmes and enhancing execution quality. She praised the significant role played by volunteers, numbering approximately 120 male and female volunteers, who are distributed across event locations to organize attendance, receive participants and support field programmes, in an image embodying the highest meanings of giving and community work.

She explained that the new edition represents an advanced stage in the development journey, with focus on raising the level of organization, benefiting from modern technologies in managing events and communicating with the public, alongside enhancing partnerships with government entities and community institutions, ensuring the achievement of sustainable impact extending beyond the blessed month.

She praised the vital role played by the media in conveying the events’ message and highlighting their noble objectives, affirming that media coverage contributed to expanding the beneficiary base and enhancing community attendance year after year.

She concluded by stating that “Ramadan Ajman: Piety and Faith” events continue their journey based on a legacy of success and community interaction, affirming that the Emirate continues to consolidate its position as a distinguished model in organizing purposeful religious events.
