Based on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, “may God protect him,” His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, ordered the Municipality and Planning Department to name a number of streets in the Emirate of Ajman after 19 martyrs. These streets are to be close to their families’ residences, in commemoration of their memory and in honor of their sacrifices, so that their legacy remains present in the community’s memory and a source of pride for their families.

‏His Highness the Ruler of Ajman affirmed that the martyrs are the loyal sons of the nation who sacrificed their lives in defense of the land and preservation of the Union. Commemorating their names on the emirate’s streets is a sincere expression of their high status in the heart of the UAE’s leadership and people. They are honorable examples of sacrifice and altruism and will remain a source of pride for successive generations.

‏His Highness added: “Naming 19 martyrs on streets close to the residences and areas of their families is an appreciation for their giving and a consolidation of the link between their memory and their environment. It aims to keep their legacy present in the lives of their families, and it is an affirmation that the nation does not forget its sons who sacrificed for it.”

‏His Highness continued: “We affirm that the attention given to immortalizing the heroism of the martyrs represents a firm approach in the UAE, which places its sons and their sacrifices at the forefront of its priorities, and honors those who sacrificed and gave the most precious thing they own—their blood and soul—for their homeland. Honoring them will remain a fixed pillar in the journey and approach of the Emirate of Ajman, and a motivation to enhance the values of loyalty and belonging in the souls of our youth.”

‏For his part, His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, said that consolidating the memory of the nation’s martyrs on the emirate’s streets is a steadfast and firm act by a leadership that does not forget its sons and realizes the magnitude of their heroism, which will remain shining beacons in every corner of the nation. “These heroes are the pulse and spirit of the Union, and they are the most beautiful line in our glorious nation’s history. They are men who carried its flag with steadfastness and courage in the fields of honor and duty, so that our homeland remains dear, safe, secure, and stable.”

‏His Highness added: “The directives of my father, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, ‘may God protect him,’ are a deep expression of the great appreciation and high status that the wise leadership holds for the martyrs and their sacrifices, and an affirmation of a deeply rooted Emirati doctrine based on loyalty to those who gave their lives and blood in defense of their land and honor. Naming the streets near their families’ homes is an honor that carries at its core a message of love and gratitude, and confirms that their giving and sacrifice will remain etched in the nation’s memory and conscience.”

‏His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi affirmed that the Emirate of Ajman is steadily proceeding on the nation’s path to preserve the status of the martyrs and instill the values of sacrifice and sincerity in the hearts of generations. “Their heroism is not just stories to be told, but messages that teach the sons of the nation the meanings of belonging and dedication in serving the UAE and defending its land. With God’s help, we will continue to work with the spirit of the Union to translate these sacrifices into achievements that will raise the flag of the UAE higher in the sky of glory and honor, and prosper our present and future, under a wise leadership that places people, their security, and their dignity at the forefront of its priorities.”

‏Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, said: “We appreciate the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, ‘may God protect him,’ which embody the high status enjoyed by the nation’s martyrs with the UAE leadership, and affirm its keenness to honor them and immortalize their giving, as they are an eternal symbol of sincerity and pride, and an example for the sons of the UAE in the fields of duty and redemption.”

‏He added: “Naming the emirate’s streets after our righteous martyrs reflects the precious sacrifices they made. Based on the directives of His Highness the President of the State, we in the Municipality and Planning Department will ensure the selection of locations closest to the residences of the martyrs’ families, as part of our continuous efforts to consolidate national values and immortalize the nation’s martyrs in the Department’s projects and initiatives.”
