90 Minutes of Goodness” Unites Football Stars on Zayed Humanitarian Work Day at the Closing of Ajman Government Sports Tournament

On the evening of the 19th of Ramadan, the charitable exhibition match under the slogan “90 Minutes of Goodness” was held as part of the closing activities of the Ajman Government Sports Tournament 2026, coinciding with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, amid notable public attendance that reflected the great engagement with the initiative and its humanitarian objectives.

This humanitarian initiative comes within the framework of harnessing sport in the service of the community, with the full proceeds of the match dedicated to supporting orphans at Al Ihsan Charitable Society, in a step that reflects the humanitarian values embodied by Zayed Humanitarian Work Day and consolidates the concept of giving and charitable work in society.

The match witnessed the participation of an elite group of the most prominent football stars in the United Arab Emirates and the Arab world, alongside a number of former international players and sports and media personalities, including Mr Nasser Al Neyadi, President of the UAE Aerosports Federation, media personality Omar Al Muraisi, Mr Khalid Al Maghribi and Mr Ahmed Bouchikha. A group of players also participated, namely Emad Al Housani, Bashir Saeed, Walid Salem, Mohammed Abdulrahman, Ismail Al Hammadi, Nawaf Mubarak, Mohammed Fawzi, Mohannad Salem, Salem Abdullah, Saif Mohammed, Ahmed Al Yasi, Mohammed Zahran, Adel Saqr, Mohammed Khalfan, Majed Al Kaabi, with the crowds showing great interaction and keen attendance at this sporting event.

The match was also held with the support and sponsorship of a number of supporting entities, including the council of His Excellency Abdullah Al Nuaimi and the council of His Excellency Majed Al Assam, who contributed to supporting this humanitarian initiative and ensuring the success of its activities.

At the conclusion of the match, the participating players were honoured in recognition of their contribution to the success of this humanitarian initiative, with His Excellency Ahmed Al Raeesi, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the Sports Tournament, and Mr Abdulaziz Abdullah, Director of Events and Championships of the Tournament, honouring the sponsors of this initiative, namely player Abdulaziz Al Kaabi, Nets Caffe, Taama Restaurant, Hisn Raydan Mandi Restaurant, Lavish Perfumes Group, and Carrot Healthy Food Restaurant, in addition to honouring the participating stars and the orphans who attended the match in a deeply moving humanitarian atmosphere.

The Higher Organizing Committee of the Ajman Government Sports Tournament affirmed that the “90 Minutes of Goodness” initiative reflects the community role of sport in supporting humanitarian initiatives, noting that organizing this match to coincide with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day embodies the values instilled by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may Allah rest his soul”, in promoting a culture of giving and humanitarian solidarity.

The Committee added that the initiative succeeded in combining the humanitarian message with sporting enjoyment, affirming that such events contribute to enhancing the spirit of community solidarity and employing sport as an effective platform to support charitable work and serve those in need.
