His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Financial Audit Authority in the emirate, reviewed the implementation stages of the comprehensive development plan for the Authority, which comes within the framework of His Highness’s directives to enhance institutional performance efficiency and modernize the audit work system, in line with the aspirations of the Emirate of Ajman and “Ajman Vision 2030.”

This came during His Highness’s visit to the Authority’s headquarters on Wednesday, where His Highness examined the implementation stages of the plan and its main pillars, which aim to elevate audit work methodology, develop national capabilities, and expand specialized training programs, thereby contributing to consolidating the principles of governance and transparency and supporting government efforts toward developing its services.

His Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman said that effective audit work is a guarantee for achieving spending efficiency and performance quality, and our goal is to build an audit authority that possesses readiness, flexibility, and the ability to keep pace with rapid changes, thereby supporting the Emirate of Ajman’s steps toward leadership and enhancing its experience in good governance.

His Highness added: “We believe that auditing is not merely procedures, but a partnership in developing government performance and motivating entities toward innovation and commitment to the highest governance standards.”

His Highness stated that developing the Authority represents a fundamental priority during the coming period, emphasizing that the task entrusted to the work teams within the Authority is not easy, but it is important and pivotal in serving government entities and supporting their efficiency.

His Highness explained that there are two types of auditing: auditing that contributes to guiding entities, developing their performance, and raising their readiness, and another that searches for errors. He noted that the approach in the Emirate of Ajman is based on enhancing the first type of auditing as a partner in creating improvement and enhancing performance quality.

His Highness emphasized the importance of the Authority being a permanent support to government departments by providing clear performance reports that contribute to advancing their work and improving their services. He affirmed that the Ajman Government is keen to enhance the Authority’s role as an independent audit entity that consolidates the principles of transparency and accountability, supports integration with local and federal audit bodies, and benefits from global best practices to ensure audit work quality.

During the visit, His Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman honored distinguished employees at the Authority, commending their efforts and the achievements made by the Authority in supporting the performance and development of government entities to enhance institutional governance principles in the emirate.

For his part, His Excellency Shehab Ahmed Al Ali, Director General of the Ajman Financial Audit Authority, confirmed that the new development plan represents a qualitative leap in the Authority’s institutional work path, noting that it is based on expanding and updating the methodological structure of auditing, enhancing work team capabilities, and developing national cadre qualification programs to support the targets of Ajman Vision 2030.

He explained that the Authority seeks to build a proactive audit system based on modern tools and innovative technologies, capable of keeping pace with rapid transformations in the government work environment, especially in light of efforts aimed at zero bureaucracy and developing government services, ensuring more effective and flexible government performance.

The development plan represents an important milestone in the Authority’s journey, as it establishes a clear framework for building a modern and sustainable audit system that accommodates the requirements of the next development phase and aligns with Ajman Vision 2030, which focuses on enhancing government performance, developing services, and raising institutional efficiency to achieve comprehensive and balanced development in the emirate.
