Conclusion of Masfout Mountain Race in Ajman with Participation of 300 Competitors

The Masfout Mountain Race concluded in Ajman on Sunday, witnessing wide participation that included approximately 300 competitors from various age groups and community segments.

The race comprised two categories: the 10 km category and the 24 km category, and was organized in an enthusiastic and positive atmosphere that contributed to encouraging sports practice for all levels, spreading and promoting individual sports, and attracting youth to prepare a generation of distinguished athletes.

The 10 km category witnessed the crowning of 42 winners, while the 24 km category saw the crowning of 36 winners. Each winner was awarded a medal and a cash prize of AED 25,000 in an initiative aimed at encouraging talents and capabilities and driving them towards investing their abilities in the sports sector, which positively impacts the lives of individuals and society alike and supports the development of the local and global sports sector.

The race, organized by the Department of Tourism, Culture and Media in Ajman, comes within efforts to activate the role of community sports and spread sports culture to make it a lifestyle and ideal living pattern that elevates individuals’ health and enhances community wellbeing.

The race was supported by an advanced package of modern technologies, where each participant received a dedicated electronic chip for the smart timing system to ensure result accuracy, in addition to a personal participation number to facilitate identification and documentation. Electronic timing results were also made available via the official website after the race concluded, and each competitor received an electronic certificate.

The race received support from a group of leading government and private entities, including Ajman Police General Command, Masfout Museum, Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, Masfout Municipality, the Federal Water and Electricity Authority as the official sponsor of the event, Al Qudra Sports Services, Al Qudra Bicycles, Gulfa Water, Infinity Gym, Fursan Zayed, and Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, reflecting the cooperation and integration between the public and private sectors to ensure the success of sports and community events and present them in a distinguished manner at a global level.
