Ruler of Ajman Orders Release of 225 Inmates on the Occasion of the 54th Union Day

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, ordered the release of 225 inmates from the correctional and punitive facilities at the Ajman Police General Command, on the occasion of the 54th Union Day of the United Arab Emirates.

His Highness’s order embodies the spirit of the Union and its noble values of tolerance, mercy, and social responsibility, in recognition of the good conduct and behavior demonstrated during their sentence period. The pardon conditions were met, and their eligibility to benefit from it was established, exempting them from the remaining period of their sentences.

The release order came out of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman’s keenness to bring joy and hope to the inmates in particular, and to their families, relatives, and friends in general, so that their joy of release is complete and they are reunited with their families and loved ones, and in affirmation of His Highness’s care and great attention to the conditions of community members across all segments and social circumstances.

His Highness expressed his wishes for those released to return in a righteous and upright manner to society and public life, after having served their sentences, and for the joy of Union Day to be completed with the inmates’ return to their families.

For his part, His Excellency Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, on this occasion, extended his highest expressions of thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, for His Highness’s pardon order for the convicts, which reflects his keenness to give inmates the opportunity to become upright individuals and to be reunited with their families. He confirmed that the release procedures for those covered by the order will be implemented immediately so they can return to their families.
