Inauguration of “Souq Al Freij” at Ajman Auto District with Participation of Over 15 Projects to Support Small Businesses and Foster Community Spirit

Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Nuaimi, in the presence of a number of officials and representatives of government entities in the Emirate of Ajman, inaugurated the activities of Souq Al Freij, organised by Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Charitable Foundation and Farjan Ajman Foundation, in the Ajman Auto District area, amid notable attendance from residents and visitors.

The organisation of Souq Al Freij comes within the framework of efforts aimed at enhancing community cohesion and reviving the spirit of the authentic Emirati neighbourhood, by providing a platform that brings together families and small business owners in a vibrant social environment.

The market witnessed the participation of a number of families supported by Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Charitable Foundation, alongside more than 15 small and medium enterprises, in addition to the distinguished participation of 30 children within initiatives aimed at developing the skills of the new generation and introducing them to the fundamentals of buying, selling and managing small projects in a practical and interactive manner.

Souq Al Freij aims to support and empower small and medium enterprise owners, provide children with the opportunity to experience early entrepreneurship that enhances their spirit of innovation and work ethic, alongside reviving the concept of the neighbourhood as a space for gathering and cooperation among community members.

The market also seeks to invigorate residential areas and create a social environment that reflects the values of solidarity and mutual support for which Emirati society is known, through activities that combine entrepreneurship with community and recreational activities.

The event organisers affirmed that Souq Al Freij represents a model of community initiatives that contribute to supporting the local economy and empowering various segments of society, while promoting a culture of self-employment and encouraging children and youth to pursue future entrepreneurial experiences.
