Ruler of Ajman Receives Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Team After Winning Six Titles in Al Salam Cycling Race

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, received today at the Amiri Court, Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Team (ABH), on the occasion of its victory in the Al Salam Cycling Race and achieving six titles out of seven races within the championship competitions.

His Highness the Ruler of Ajman expressed his pride in this remarkable sporting achievement, which reflected the spirit of determination, discipline, and professionalism, affirming that what the team achieved reflects the established approach of supporting youth, enabling them to develop their capabilities, and motivating them to excel in various fields.

His Highness pointed to the important role that sports play in building a balanced personality and promoting values of commitment and teamwork, appreciating the efforts made by the players and the technical and administrative staff, and the honorable image they presented that reflects sporting awareness and high responsibility.

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi said that this achievement confirms that the UAE’s youth are capable of achieving excellence when provided with a supportive environment, organized work, and confidence in their abilities.

His Highness added that sports represent a school in which values of discipline, perseverance, and responsibility are instilled, noting that what the ABH team presented embodies a positive model to be emulated in working with one team spirit.

For his part, Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Ruler of Ajman for the warm reception and continuous support, affirming that this recognition represents a significant moral motivation to continue working and achieving more accomplishments.

He said that winning six titles out of seven is the fruit of collective effort and organized work, and a doubled responsibility to continue excellence.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi praised the great attention given by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the State, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, to sports in general and to the Al Salam Cycling Race in particular, affirming that this support and patronage have contributed to consolidating the race’s position as a prominent national event and given it a competitive dimension that enhances values of discipline and the spirit of challenge among athletes.

The Al Salam Cycling Race is considered one of the most prominent national races, with its competitions held annually. Its tenth edition witnessed the participation of elite Emirati cyclists and included multiple races, including the amateur race over a distance of 158 kilometers, which started from Dubai Police Academy and reached the Marmoom Reserve in the Seih Al Salam area, under the slogan of security and safety.

This reception comes in recognition of the achievement made by the ABH team in the championship, where cyclist Hilal Al Harbi was crowned first place in the 158-kilometer amateur race after a strong and steady performance, while Rashid Mohammed Al Balushi came in second place, and Saeed Mohammed Ibrahim Hassan came third.

The team also achieved first place in the overall team standings, in addition to cyclist Saad Ali Al Balushi winning first place in the over-40 category, an achievement that reflects the high readiness and teamwork that distinguished the team’s participation in the competitions.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Executive Council; Sheikh Rashid bin Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Digital Department; and a number of senior officials.
