The Ajyal Programme has launched the “Jood” initiative for community initiatives, which opens the opportunity for citizens of the Emirate of Ajman aged “11-24 years” to design and implement community initiatives during the blessed month of Ramadan, reflecting the spirit of responsibility and giving, and contributing to creating a tangible positive impact within the Emirate.

The initiative stems from the Programme’s belief that youth are the main driver of community work, and that the month of Ramadan represents an opportunity to translate values into practical practices that enhance social cohesion, support the targets of Ajman Vision 2030, and consolidate the culture of initiative and community work.

Participation fields include charitable, voluntary, social, sports, cultural and heritage initiatives, in addition to a special track for Year of the Family initiatives, enabling participants to choose the field that aligns with their interests and abilities to serve their community.

Initiatives are evaluated according to several criteria including community impact, innovation, leadership and responsibility, documentation quality, and sustainability potential, taking into account age differences between participating categories.

The initiative includes motivational cash prizes amounting to AED 5,000 for the “11-14 years” category, AED 7,000 for the “15-18 years” category, AED 10,000 for the “19-24 years” category, and AED 15,000 for the Year of the Family award.

Initiatives are implemented during the month of Ramadan, to be registered before 15 Ramadan, while winners will be announced on Zayed Humanitarian Work Day.

The Ajyal Programme called on the youth of the Emirate of Ajman to participate actively and transform their ideas into real initiatives that contribute to serving the community and enhancing the culture of generosity and humanitarian work.
