The Ajman Government Media Office has concluded the specialized training programme in “Infographics and Visual Culture”, which lasted five days, with the participation of trainees from various government entities in the emirate.

This programme is one of the components of the “Media Competencies” programme launched by Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Ajman, and aims to develop the skills of media personnel within an integrated vision to enable government media to keep pace with modern transformations.

The programme focused on developing skills in converting texts and data into visual elements through training modules delivered by international expert Luis Gonzalez, a specialist in infographics and visual storytelling.

Gonzalez highlighted the importance of professional design using tools such as “Adobe Illustrator” and “Photoshop”, emphasizing the necessity of adopting “Visual Storytelling” methodologies to deliver media messages in an innovative and easily understandable manner.

The programme included intensive practical training that enabled participants to present high-quality data visualizations that contribute to enhancing the visual impact of media content.

The programme targeted three main segments: journalists and content creators, designers and visual creatives, and those interested in data analysis and visual presentation.

His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Kaabi, Executive Director of the Ajman Government Media Office, affirmed that this course translates the Office’s directions toward enhancing visual communication skills and elevating the quality of government media messages.

Al Kaabi added that this programme falls within the “Media Competencies” programme, which represents one of the tracks of the Office’s comprehensive development plan, in partnership with local and international institutions, to qualify official media teams with the latest knowledge in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital platforms.

He noted that the training programmes implemented by the Office come in alignment with the Ajman Government’s vision toward excellence and innovation, and reflect the Office’s commitment to raising the efficiency of government media personnel.

At the conclusion of the programme, participants were honored, having presented final projects that embodied the acquired skills and demonstrated their readiness to employ this knowledge in developing institutional media content.
