Organizing Committee of Ajman Government Sports Tournament Reveals Details of Sixth Edition

The Higher Organizing Committee of the “Ajman Government Sports Tournament” revealed, during a press conference held at Al Zorah Golf Resort and Club, details of the sixth edition of the tournament, which takes place during the holy month of Ramadan under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, and is organized by the Human Resources Department of Ajman Government in cooperation with Quattro Sports Centre, continuing a journey that has established its presence as one of the most prominent sports and community Ramadan events in the Emirate.

The conference was attended by the chairman and members of the Higher Organizing Committee, representatives of participating entities, alongside sponsors and supporting entities, where the general framework of the tournament, its objectives and organizational themes were reviewed, and features of its sports and community programme were revealed.

Ahmed Al Raisi, Chairman of the Tournament’s Higher Organizing Committee, affirmed that the “Ajman Government Sports Tournament” continues its mission in consolidating community sports concepts, supporting healthy lifestyles, and enhancing team spirit and positive communication among government entity employees, noting that holding its competitions during the month of Ramadan adds a social and humanitarian dimension that enriches the experience of participants and the public, and consolidates the values of meeting and convergence. He explained that the organizing committee was committed to preparing a balanced programme in terms of organizational quality and activity diversity, benefiting from the successes achieved in previous editions, and in cooperation with the Human Resources Department of Ajman Government and Quattro Sports Centre, ensuring the provision of a distinguished sports experience characterized by professionalism and safety, and serving the tournament’s sports and community objectives.

The chairman of the organizing committee valued the continued support the tournament receives, affirming that the patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman represents a fundamental pillar in the tournament’s sustainability and development, and enhancing its presence as an annual Ramadan sports event on the Emirate’s events agenda, and reflects Ajman’s interest in community sports and quality of life.

For his part, Abdulaziz Abdullah, Director of Championships and Programmes, explained that the sixth edition of the Ajman Government Sports Tournament includes organizing 15 championships, events and sports and community programmes, prepared to meet the interests of wide segments of government entity employees and community members, reflecting the tournament’s development and expansion of scope, and enhancing its presence as a platform combining sports competition and social interaction in the atmosphere of the blessed month. He stated that the tournament programme includes football championships, beach volleyball, padel tennis, men’s running race, folk games championship, CrossFit championship, camel racing championship, obstacle challenge games, alongside a new electronic football championship (PlayStation), in addition to community events represented by the Ramadan Village, women’s fitness programme, and Zayed Humanitarian Work Day.

Abdulaziz Abdullah expected that the number of participants in the current edition of the Ajman Government tournament will exceed six thousand participants, which reflects the size of growing turnout and the significant development the tournament has witnessed since its launch.

The organizing committee also praised the role of partners, sponsors and contributing entities, and the efforts of work teams and organizational and technical committees, affirming the completion of readiness for the launch of the sixth edition according to the highest organizational standards, and ensuring competitions characterized by fair competition and positive community interaction during the blessed month.

Mohammed Hassan Al Shehhi, Director of Content Management at the Ajman Government Media Office, the tournament’s media partner, stated that the Ajman Government Sports Tournament represents a comprehensive model in employing sports and community events to enhance quality of life and consolidate the culture of positive participation among government entity employees and community members, in a Ramadan atmosphere combining sports competition and social values.

He added that the Ajman Government Media Office attaches great importance to highlighting these purposeful government initiatives and spotlighting their community and humanitarian messages, reflecting the Emirate of Ajman’s vision in supporting activities that enhance community cohesion and encourage the adoption of healthy and active lifestyles, affirming that the tournament has become an annual milestone reflecting the spirit of joint government work and the Emirate’s active presence on the map of community sports events.

For his part, Khalifa Sultan bin Hareb Al Muhairi, Director General of Al Rasekhoon Real Estate Company, the permanent diamond sponsor of the sports tournament, affirmed the company’s interest and commitment to contributing to the success of the sixth edition of the championship during the holy month, and supporting the sports and community initiatives accompanying it.

The championship receives diamond sponsorship from Al Rasekhoon Real Estate Company, alongside gold sponsors: Federal Water and Electricity Authority, Al Haramain Perfumes, Lavish Perfumes Group, Business Line, Ewan Serviced Apartments, with organizational support from Al Ihsan Charity Association, and logistical support from Gulfa Mineral Water Company.
