The Emirate of Ajman today witnessed the second session of the 2026 National Campaign to Introduce Media Content Standards, launched by the National Media Office under the slogan “Creativity… Inspiration… Integrity”, as part of its efforts to empower the creation of purposeful content, elevate the quality of media outputs, and cement the UAE’s standing as a leading global hub for responsible media creativity and innovation.
The session, hosted by the Ajman Government Media Office in cooperation with the National Media Office, affirmed that the Campaign embodies the UAE’s strategic vision for building an advanced and responsible media sector that serves as a supportive framework protecting the social fabric, and reinforces the country’s mission to deliver credible and innovative media that reflects the nation’s leading achievements.
The Campaign targets the enhancement of media awareness and the concepts of responsible content, and empowers individuals to distinguish between reliable information and misleading content, thereby contributing to the consolidation of a national identity that keeps pace with the language of the age whilst preserving the authenticity of societal values.
The Campaign also places content creators at the heart of the media landscape by strengthening their creative responsibility and entrenching their credibility as partners in building the national narrative and shaping public awareness.
His Excellency Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi, Secretary General of the National Media Office, affirmed that the Campaign adopts an approach based on partnership with youth, academic institutions, and strategic partners, to establish a community culture that supports creativity and is fortified against misinformation, stemming from the belief that empowering people with awareness represents the strongest pillar for protecting national achievements.
He stated that the twenty media content standards constitute a clear professional and ethical framework for responsible media publication, setting integrated controls that take into account religious and national values, respect the country’s system of governance, its symbols and institutions, and align with the country’s domestic and foreign policy directions. They also safeguard national identity, cultural heritage, and social cohesion, combat rumours, misleading news, hate speech, and incitement, protect privacy and children’s rights, respect public decency and age classification, and refrain from undermining the legal or economic system or the national currency.
He affirmed that these standards do not restrict creativity but rather organise it and protect its impact, providing media professionals and content creators with a clear path to producing credible and responsible content that expresses the values of the UAE and its civilisational mission.
He added that the Authority seeks to formulate an intellectual charter that links the enthusiasm of youth with the experience of institutions, so that Emirati content becomes a mirror reflecting the country’s leadership and a firm bulwark that fortifies society, presenting a civilisational model characterised by responsibility and balance.
He further noted that the Authority operates with a strategic perspective that elevates the content creator to become a trusted partner in preserving the national identity and the country’s value heritage, through the unification of efforts with universities, media offices, and cultural councils, and the development of qualitative programmes that equip youth with the tools of technology, awareness, and intellectual resilience, enabling them to convey the UAE’s civilisational message to the world with responsibility and competence.
He indicated that innovation and credibility form the two fundamental pillars of the national media journey, affirming that the deployment of modern technologies must always be coupled with the sincerity of the message and the building of a safe and responsible creative space that enhances trust and protects digital sovereignty and the societal landscape.
For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Al Kaabi, Executive Director of the Ajman Government Media Office, affirmed that national media campaigns play a pivotal role in entrenching collective awareness, consolidating intellectual unity, and strengthening national belonging. He noted that such initiatives contribute to mobilising efforts towards achieving national aspirations and supporting sustainable development pathways.
He stated that the Ajman Government Media Office is committed to contributing to these national efforts through strengthening integration with various media institutions and government entities, in support of the country’s achievements and the advancement of the national media journey towards a brighter and more prosperous future.
He added that the National Campaign to Introduce Media Content Standards embodies the UAE’s vision for building an advanced, responsible, and innovative media sector, whilst simultaneously preserving national identity and authentic societal values — regarding media as a principal partner in development, the shaping of awareness, and a bridge for civilisational communication.
