Ajman to Host Asian Open Arm Wrestling Cup with Participation from 25 Countries

The Ajman Youth Center will host the Asian Open Arm Wrestling Cup from December 7 to 9. The event is sponsored by the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture, and Media and organized by the Asian Arm Wrestling Federation in cooperation with the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, with wide participation from 25 countries around the world and over 200 competitors, including Emirati players and residents.

The championship will feature a series of matches across multiple categories for men and women, in addition to accompanying events aimed at providing a diverse and enjoyable experience for the audience during the tournament period.

His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture, and Media, stated that hosting the Asian Arm Wrestling Cup this December is part of the efforts to promote sports tourism and support the attraction of international events to Ajman. This confirms the Department’s commitment to providing an integrated organizational experience that reflects the emirate’s status and delivers an outstanding championship that meets the aspirations of participants and the public.

In turn, Faisal Al Ghais Al Zaabi, Board Member of the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, emphasized the importance of the efforts made by the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture, and Media to support the sports supervised by the Bodybuilding Federation. He commended the organization of the Asian Arm Wrestling Cup in the Emirate of Ajman, especially since the emirate has proven its exceptional ability to host specialized sports championships that attract the best players from various countries around the world.

For his part, Assen Hadjitodorov, President of the World Armwrestling Federation, affirmed that the Emirate of Ajman has become a preferred destination for global sports events. He stated that he “looks forward to presenting a high-level championship through the opportunity to meet players from different countries in strong competitions,” praising the support of the Department of Tourism, Culture, and Media and its keenness to ensure the success of this championship and work on its global expansion.
