The Ajman Department of Finance has achieved a distinguished global milestone by obtaining the ‘Innovative Government Entity — Three Stars’ certificate issued by the Global Innovation Institute, in a step that reflects its commitment to adopting global best practices in institutional excellence and innovation, and to enhancing the Emirate’s standing among leading governments regionally and internationally in the field of government innovation.
The accolade was conferred in recognition of the Department’s application of advanced innovation management methodologies across its various operations and services, reflecting the maturity of its institutional practices and its commitment to applying global frameworks that contribute to the development and sustainability of performance.
This certificate embodies the Department’s adoption of an integrated governance framework that ensures the alignment of innovation with its strategic directions, alongside the application of innovation tools and methodologies, thereby enhancing the continuity of development in accordance with the highest international standards.
His Excellency Marwan Ahmed Al Ali, Director General of the Ajman Department of Finance, affirmed that this achievement reflects the Department’s direction towards adopting innovation as a fundamental approach in the development of government financial work, noting that the certificate represents the fruit of sustained institutional efforts aimed at establishing a government financial system built on innovation and sustainability.
He expressed his pride and honour at this international recognition, which affirms the Department’s commitment to adopting best practices in institutional innovation and strengthens its endeavours to elevate the efficiency of financial resource management, raise the quality of services delivered, and support the transition towards a more advanced and proactive government model — contributing to economic competitiveness and the achievement of government leadership through flexibility, innovation, efficiency, and a focus on outcomes, in alignment with the directions of Ajman Vision 2030.
He noted that the Department’s attainment of the ‘Three Stars’ rating represents an important milestone in its journey towards institutional excellence, and serves as an impetus to continue investing in the development of innovative capabilities and strengthening integration with various government entities, thereby contributing to the delivery of sustainable added value for customers and the community and supporting the comprehensive development journey of the Emirate of Ajman and the United Arab Emirates. He also commended the efforts of the Department’s staff and work teams who contributed to this achievement.
For his part, Abdulrahman Saeed Qassem, Director of the Strategy and Project Management Office, affirmed that this accreditation reflects the integration of the Department’s innovation ecosystem through its alignment with strategic objectives and the application of clear methodologies that deliver tangible and measurable results.
He added that this achievement represents evidence of the Department’s success in developing an innovation-stimulating work environment built on institutional foundations that ensure sustainability and enhance efficiency across all areas of government work and data-driven decision-making. He affirmed the Department’s continued commitment to developing the tools and solutions that keep pace with the Ajman Government’s aspirations for leadership and excellence.
This achievement comes as a continuation of the Department’s journey in adopting global best practices, and as a complement to its earlier attainment of the ISO 56002:2019 certification for Innovation Management Systems, which established an advanced institutional framework that contributed to entrenching a culture of innovation and renewed thinking, fostering a work environment conducive to creativity and idea generation — reflecting positively on the enhancement of performance efficiency and the sustainability of development within the government financial work ecosystem.
