Minister of Family and Secretary-General of Ajman Executive Council Review Strategy and Initiatives of Year of the Family in the Emirate

Her Excellency Sana bint Mohammed Suhail, Minister of Family, affirmed that the Emirate of Ajman attaches great importance to the family portfolio, stemming from a firm conviction that the cohesive family is a fundamental pillar for building a cohesive and prosperous society.

This came during Her Excellency’s meeting with His Excellency Dr Saeed Saif Al Matrooshi, Secretary-General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Ajman, at the Government Entities Building - Ajman, as part of efforts aimed at activating the “Year of the Family” and enhancing its targets at the Emirate level.

The meeting comes within the framework of the Ministry’s efforts aimed at translating the targets of the “Year of the Family” into practical programmes and initiatives that contribute to enhancing the quality of family life and consolidating the role of the family as a fundamental pillar in sustainable social development.

Her Excellency emphasized during the meeting the importance of enhancing coordination and integration between relevant entities to ensure the achievement of the year’s targets, and developing quality programmes that meet family needs and keep pace with social changes.

Both parties reviewed an introductory presentation on the strategy for activating the “Year of the Family”, addressing the general objective, strategic priorities, adopted principles and directions, in addition to priority groups, the role of the concerned team, and work mechanisms applied to implement initiatives at the Emirate of Ajman level.

The meeting also discussed the upcoming steps and expected outputs for the coming period, which focus on enhancing institutional coordination and accelerating the pace of implementation, ensuring integration between relevant entities, and developing quality initiatives that contribute to supporting family stability and enhancing community cohesion.

His Excellency Dr Saeed Saif Al Matrooshi affirmed that the Emirate of Ajman, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, is committed to aligning its plans and programmes with the targets of “Year of the Family 2026”, through innovative initiatives and effective partnerships that enhance the quality of family life.

His Excellency emphasized the importance of continuing joint work and intensifying efforts, contributing to achieving the targets of the “Year of the Family” and supporting the comprehensive development journey in the Emirate of Ajman and the United Arab Emirates.
