Under Directives of Humaid bin Rashid.. Ajman Government Decides to Work Remotely on Fridays During Ramadan
Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, the Human Resources Department in Ajman has launched the “Ramadan Ajman with Family” initiative, which stipulates the implementation of 100% remote work on Fridays in government entities during the blessed month of Ramadan.
The initiative aligns with the targets of the “Year of the Family”, as it aims to enhance the balance between professional and social life, and support employees’ quality of life during the blessed month, thereby enhancing family communication and consolidating the values of social bonding and cohesion.
The decision embodies His Highness’s commitment to providing a flexible work environment that takes into account the specificity of the month of Ramadan and supports employee wellbeing, positively reflecting on the level of productivity and quality of institutional performance.
In this context, the Department issued a circular to government entities in the Emirate specifying official working hours from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 AM until 2:30 PM, while Friday working hours are from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM, with work on this day to be performed remotely at 100%.
The Department affirmed that this initiative comes within Ajman Government’s approach to developing flexible and sustainable work policies that enhance performance efficiency and keep pace with best practices in empowering human resources and achieving balance between work requirements and family life.
