The Ajman X Centre, affiliated with the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, has launched the AI Makers Journey initiative — a step that reflects the Department’s commitment to accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence applications and empowering national cadres to develop innovative solutions that contribute to elevating government services and enhancing institutional operational efficiency.
The initiative supports the Department’s strategic objective of developing innovation incubators to support scientific research and innovation programmes, and is aligned with the UAE Government’s directions to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence applications and translate them into practical solutions that improve the quality of government services and raise institutional performance.
The initiative was inaugurated by Engineer Noura Rashid Shattaf, Executive Director of the Strategy and Customer Happiness Sector, who affirmed the Department’s commitment to strengthening a culture of innovation and accelerating the deployment of artificial intelligence technologies across all areas of institutional work — in line with the UAE Government’s directions towards building a more flexible and sustainable government ecosystem.
In its first phase, the initiative targets the qualification of 30 employees, in collaboration with Netways and AI Brains, through an integrated applied journey aimed at transforming innovative ideas into practical projects with institutional impact.
Sheikha Dr Noura Humaid Al Nuaimi, Innovation Advisor and Director of the Ajman X Centre, affirmed that the AI Makers Journey initiative represents an applied pathway aimed at transforming artificial intelligence ideas into practical projects with institutional impact — contributing to the development of services, the enhancement of operational efficiency, and the entrenchment of a culture of innovation within the Department.
She added that the initiative is not limited to theoretical training, but adopts a practical methodology that begins with empowering people and developing their knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence applications, progresses through the development of project prototypes and their presentation and evaluation, and culminates in the recognition of the best implementable projects.
She noted that the initiative enhances employees’ readiness to lead digital transformation and develop innovative solutions that meet institutional work needs, supporting the improvement of services and the elevation of operational efficiency.
The initiative aims to strengthen a culture of artificial intelligence and innovation within the Department, empower employees to deploy its applications in developing their work, and prepare cadres capable of leading artificial intelligence initiatives and developing prototypes and applied projects that address work challenges and opportunities.
The initiative contributes to building a sustainable ecosystem for artificial intelligence applications within the Department, raising employees’ proficiency in using its tools, and enhancing knowledge exchange across various sectors — supporting the development of services and institutional operations.
