Ajman Transport Organizes Journey of Hope Forum in Support of Families of People with Autism
The Transport Authority in Ajman organized the “Journey of Hope” forum for families of People of Determination with autism, as part of the Year of the Family initiatives, in cooperation with the Emirates Autism Society, and with the participation of relevant entities, within the framework of supporting community efforts aimed at enhancing quality of life in the Emirate of Ajman.
The forum aims to provide a direct dialogue platform with families, listening to their experiences and daily challenges, and transforming them into practical, implementable recommendations in the field of transport, contributing to developing initiatives and services provided to this category, and reflecting the commitment of relevant entities to supporting the family and enhancing its cohesion.
The organization of “Journey of Hope” comes within the continuous efforts made by the Transport Authority in Ajman to enhance its services and quality initiatives dedicated to People of Determination, affirming its commitment to providing a more inclusive and accommodating environment that ensures equal opportunities for a dignified life and active participation, within a developmental vision based on quality of life, enhancing family and community cohesion, and consolidating partnership with relevant entities to provide more integrated services responsive to their needs.
Fatima Ghaleb Al Mohseni, Head of the “Journey of Hope” Initiative Team, affirmed that the Authority’s organization of this forum stems from its social responsibility and commitment to supporting humanitarian initiatives, noting that the Authority attaches importance to supporting various segments of society, and seeks through partnerships and integration with relevant entities to contribute to finding practical solutions and initiatives that meet the needs of People of Determination and enhance the quality of services provided to them.
For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Kaabi, Board Member of the Emirates Autism Society, affirmed that organizing the “Journey of Hope” forum reflects advanced institutional awareness of the importance of involving the family in creating solutions, noting that empowering families of people with autism begins with listening to them and understanding their daily needs, particularly regarding transport and mobility services.
His Excellency stated that the cooperation between the Transport Authority in Ajman and the Emirates Autism Society represents a practical model of community partnership that places people at the forefront of priorities, pointing out that developing safe and accessible transport services contributes to enhancing the independence of People of Determination and their integration into society, while simultaneously alleviating the daily burdens borne by families.
The Authority affirmed its continuous commitment to enhancing its services dedicated to People of Determination, as the People of Determination transport service recorded 7.5% growth in the number of beneficiaries during 2025 compared to 2024, with the number of beneficiaries reaching 7,383 compared to 6,868 beneficiaries in the previous year, an indicator reflecting increasing confidence in the service and its effectiveness in meeting the needs of this category.
