Asian Arm Wrestling Cup Kicks Off in Ajman with Participation from 27 Countries

The Asian Open Arm Wrestling Cup competitions commenced on Sunday at the Ajman Youth Center. The event is held under the patronage of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture, and Media, and organized by the Asian Arm Wrestling Federation and the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, attended the opening of the championship, which continues until December 9.

The event is being held with wide participation from 27 countries and more than 225 players from various countries around the world, alongside distinguished participation from Emirati players, both citizens and residents, across multiple categories for men and women.

The first day witnessed a large public turnout from arm wrestling enthusiasts who came to follow the competitions and enjoy the enthusiastic atmosphere that accompanied the launch of the championship.

His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture, and Media, affirmed that organizing the championship reflects the emirate’s growing status as a leading destination for hosting international sports events.
