Ajman Government Human Resources Department has signed a cooperation agreement with the Global Innovation Institute (GInI) to strengthen institutional integration and exchange knowledge and expertise in innovation and human capital development. The agreement seeks to benefit from international best practices and experiences in ways that enhance institutional performance efficiency and strengthen Ajman Government’s readiness for the future.
The agreement was signed by His Excellency Rashid Abdulrahman bin Jibran Al Suwaidi, Director General of Ajman Government Human Resources Department, and His Excellency Muhannad Shaheen, Regional Director of the Global Innovation Institute for the Middle East and Africa.
The agreement reflects both parties’ commitment to unifying efforts, developing areas of joint cooperation, and supporting the adoption of leading practices in human capital management, quality and institutional excellence policies. It also aims to empower national talent in line with the strategic and future directions of the Emirate of Ajman, contributing to its sustainable development journey.
The agreement establishes an integrated framework for exchanging research, studies and leading practices related to innovation and capability development, and using them as supporting references to support the development of joint programmes and initiatives. It also provides for the exchange of knowledge, expertise and institutional experiences, as well as joint participation in organising and attending workshops, conferences, seminars and specialised lectures in innovation.
His Excellency Rashid Abdulrahman bin Jibran Al Suwaidi affirmed that the agreement represents a qualitative step in developing the innovation ecosystem and developing human capital across Ajman Government.
He said: “This agreement reflects our commitment to building strategic partnerships that draw upon international expertise and methodologies to develop government talent and prepare leaders capable of keeping pace with change and creating future solutions. Through this partnership, we look forward to enhancing innovative thinking and change-management skills, and linking development programmes to the actual needs of government entities, thereby strengthening their institutional readiness, supporting sustainable succession planning, and embedding a culture of innovation and excellence in the government work environment.”
Under the agreement, the Institute will support Ajman Government’s future leadership development programmes by employing its approved innovation methodologies in designing training pathways and developing innovative thinking and change-management skills. This will contribute to stronger institutional readiness and support sustainable succession planning.
The Institute will also identify innovation focus areas and strategic priorities on the basis of training needs and development gaps identified by the Department. This will support the preparation and delivery of joint training plans, ensuring their alignment with the needs of government entities and their institutional and human-capital development priorities.
Areas of cooperation include exploring future opportunities and initiatives in innovation, talent development, future leadership preparation, digital learning and knowledge management, in alignment with Ajman Government’s priorities and the parties’ shared objectives.
The two parties will also cooperate in documenting the strategic initiatives and outcomes resulting from the partnership and announcing them through official channels in joint coordination, thereby strengthening the partnership’s presence and contributing to the dissemination of an innovation culture.
Under the agreement, the Institute will nominate trainers and assessors accredited by Ajman Government in the field of innovation to deliver training programmes and conduct assessments of government entities in accordance with the frameworks and procedures approved by both parties.
The Institute will also offer preferential benefits and discounts on examination fees associated with accredited professional certifications for Ajman Government entities and their employees, in accordance with approved procedures and policies. In addition, it will provide examination-fee reductions for jobseekers nominated by the Department to obtain accredited professional certifications, supporting their skills development and enhancing their readiness to join the labour market.
