Ajman Summer 2026 Continues Its Success with 119 Programmes, Attracting 3,597 Beneficiaries in Its Second Week

The Ajman Government’s summer programme, Ajman Summer 2026, concluded the activities of its second week with results that surpassed the set targets, amid broad participation from students, youth, and members of the community, and considerable diversity across cultural, scientific, sporting, community, and voluntary programmes.

The second week saw the implementation of 119 programmes and activities, benefiting 3,597 participants against a target of 2,970 — bringing the overall programme achievement rate to 121.1%, reflecting the level of turnout and engagement with the activities organised by the participating centres and entities.

The total number of registrants through the programme’s electronic platform reached 8,862 participants, distributed across summer centres and governmental, private, community, voluntary, sporting, and recreational competition programmes — an indicator of the diversity of available options and their capacity to attract various segments and interests.

The week’s activities included specialised programmes at the boys’ and girls’ summer centres. The Boys’ Summer Centre delivered four programmes encompassing swimming, sports activities, taekwondo, and national service preparation, benefiting 470 participants — with sports activities recording the highest participation at 240 beneficiaries.

At the Girls’ Summer Centre, 58 specialised programmes and workshops were delivered, with 926 cumulative participations recorded over four days at a daily average attendance of 232, while the overall satisfaction rate for the programmes reached 93%. The centre also offered programmes related to technology, innovation, and artificial intelligence.

The Scientific Summer Centre saw notable demand for its Artificial Intelligence Engineering programme, which attracted 42 participants against a target of 25, achieving 168% of its target. The Cultural Summer Centre delivered 15 workshops and programmes benefiting 872 participants, covering areas including acting, Arabic calligraphy, drawing, creative writing, the Arabic language, Quranic recitation, and traditional crafts.

Community programmes recorded the participation of 210 beneficiaries from children and senior citizens, through programmes in cake making and decoration, sign language instruction, T-shirt printing, and the fundamentals of visual art. Governmental and private entities implemented 25 programmes benefiting 980 participants, spanning creative media, artificial intelligence, critical thinking, hotel hospitality, innovation, and future leadership development.

Voluntary and humanitarian programmes attracted active attendance, with 152 participants benefiting from five initiatives focused on the values of giving, benevolence, and social responsibility. The Sports Centre for People of Determination continued to deliver its specialised programmes, with 318 participants benefiting from four sporting and artistic programmes that achieved 100% of their set targets.

His Excellency Ahmed Al Raeesi, Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee for Ajman Summer 2026, stated that the results of the second week reflect the continuous development in the standard of programmes and their ability to reach diverse segments of the community. He noted that surpassing targets is not measured by numbers alone, but by the quality of the experiences offered and their contribution to developing participants’ skills and enhancing their self-confidence.

He added that the diversity of activities — spanning artificial intelligence, sport, culture, volunteering, heritage, and the arts — reflects the programme’s commitment to delivering a comprehensive summer experience that enables each participant to discover their interests and develop their capabilities within a safe and stimulating environment that combines education, engagement, and entertainment.

His Excellency affirmed that the participation of children, youth, senior citizens, and people of determination embodies the programme’s inclusive community dimension, and translates the Ajman Government’s directions in enhancing quality of life, social cohesion, and the provision of opportunities for all segments of society to participate and benefit.

He concluded his remarks by extending thanks and appreciation to the governmental and private entities, community institutions, organising teams, and volunteers, commending their efforts in implementing the programmes and activities — and affirming the continued commitment in the coming weeks to delivering renewed content and distinctive initiatives that build on the achievements realised and meet the aspirations of participants and their families.
