Abdulaziz bin Humaid Witnesses Activities of Ajman Government’s “Ajman Summer 2026” Programme

Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media, in the presence of His Excellency Ahmed Al Raeesi, Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of the Ajman Government’s “Ajman Summer” Programme, witnessed part of the programme’s activities during its fourth week.

He was briefed on a number of initiatives and programmes offered as part of the programme to various segments of the community, contributing to making the most of the summer holiday through purposeful educational, cultural, recreational and community experiences.

Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi was briefed on a number of programmes and activities held as part of “Ajman Summer 2026”, which include activities aimed at developing participants’ skills and enhancing their engagement, while reinforcing national and community values among various segments of society.

During the tour, he was briefed on the “UAE Cultural Ambassador” Programme, one of the programmes participating in the Ajman Government’s summer programme. He received a briefing from Ahmed Saeed Al Kaabi, Acting Executive Director of the Ajman Government Media Office, and Mesk Al Suwaidi, Events Executive and Creative Director, on the programme’s objectives and key themes, as well as its role in promoting national identity and instilling authentic Emirati customs and traditions among younger generations.

Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi commended the importance of initiatives that introduce younger generations to Emirati culture through interactive experiences, empowering them to become ambassadors of Emirati culture who convey its values and customs to others. He noted that such initiatives contribute to preserving and strengthening national identity.

Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi also visited the Senior Citizens Programme, implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Family, where he met with a number of senior citizens and received a briefing from Rashid Al Ghamlas, Director of the Ajman Senior Citizens Centre, on the programmes and services provided by the centre and its role in enhancing the quality of life and wellbeing of senior citizens.

He also reviewed the centre’s participation in the “Ajman Summer 2026” activities, which feature a variety of programmes and activities for senior citizens, promoting their engagement and community participation. He also listened to their experiences and impressions of these initiatives, with the senior citizens highlighting their importance in supporting them and enhancing their happiness and wellbeing.

The activities of the “UAE Cultural Ambassador” Programme were held at a traditional Emirati majlis in Nakhal Al Safiya Park, where participants experienced authentic Emirati culture and delivered interactive activities for guests of various nationalities, introducing them to Emirati identity and cultural heritage.

The experience included an introduction to Emirati hospitality and its etiquette, trying on traditional Emirati attire, learning about falconry, and participating in a range of heritage activities. It also included documenting the experience through photography and content creation, skills that the students acquired during their training.

The presence of a live audience also gave participants the opportunity to gain practical experience in communication, managing conversations and responding to a range of questions. This helped enhance their self-confidence and their ability to represent Emirati culture in a distinguished manner.

For their part, international guests praised the quality of the experience and the richness of its content, noting that the programme provided them with a deeper understanding of Emirati culture through a direct and immersive experience that showcased the details of the UAE’s cultural heritage and introduced them to its various aspects.
