Ajman Hosts Second Stop of the “Nucleus of Society” Initiative with “Family Between Values and Reality” Dialogue Session

A dialogue session entitled “Family Between Values and Reality” was held at Al Helio Majlis in the Emirate of Ajman, as part of the “Nucleus of Society” initiative organised by Abu Dhabi Majalis, affiliated with the Citizens and Community Affairs Office at the Presidential Court, in cooperation with the Ministry of Family and the Ajman Citizens Affairs Office, making Ajman the second emirate to host the initiative’s sessions following their launch in Abu Dhabi.

The session was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Dr Majid bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ruler’s Court of Ajman; His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Ajman Citizens Affairs Office; Her Excellency Sana bint Mohammed Suhail, Minister of Family; His Excellency Dr Saeed Saif Al Matrooshi, Secretary General of the Executive Council of Ajman; along with a number of officials and citizens of the Emirate of Ajman.

Held as part of the Year of the Family, the session forms part of an initiative designed to establish sustained community dialogue that strengthens the family’s role in preparing future generations, reinforces the values of family cohesion and stability, and enables families and parents to engage directly with officials and experts and exchange knowledge and experiences.

The session addressed the realities facing families and their pivotal role in raising children, as well as the importance of reinforcing family and community values and supporting family, psychological and educational stability. It also explored ways of enabling families to respond thoughtfully to the developments and challenges affecting their lives and the future of their children.

His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Nuaimi affirmed that Ajman’s hosting of the “Nucleus of Society” initiative reflects the importance of integrated national efforts to support families and promote direct dialogue with community members on issues related to family stability and the family’s role in building future generations.

He noted that bringing the initiative to local majalis brings the dialogue closer to families and provides an opportunity to listen to their perspectives and experiences.

His Excellency said that the family represents the primary nucleus of society, where values, awareness and a sense of belonging are instilled. Strengthening its ability to fulfil this role, he added, requires ongoing dialogue with families, an understanding of the changes they face, and drawing on experiences and practices that help preserve their cohesion and stability.

He added that majalis are authentic spaces for communication, listening and the exchange of views. Holding the session at Al Helio Majlis reinforces this role and provides a platform close to the community for direct discussion of family-related issues. He further affirmed the Ajman Citizens Affairs Office’s commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen family and community bonds and expand participation and dialogue.

The “Nucleus of Society” initiative seeks to emphasise that investing in the family is an investment in the nation’s future. Through a series of dialogue sessions, it brings together families and parents with leaders, officials, experts and inspiring national role models, thereby promoting awareness of positive practices and supporting families in developing their children’s capabilities and guiding them towards achieving their aspirations.

The initiative’s first event was launched at Mohammed bin Zayed City Majlis in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Its implementation will gradually expand to cover the UAE’s various emirates, in coordination with local majalis in each emirate, further strengthening integrated national efforts and direct dialogue with families and the community.
