Final Qualifiers Begin for 20th Ajman Quran Award with 265 Male and Female Contestants

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, and under the supervision of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, the final qualifiers for the 20th edition of the Ajman Quran Award have commenced, with the participation of 265 male and female contestants.

The award is organised by the Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Centre for Quranic Service, affiliated with the Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Charity Foundation.

The 20th edition features five Quranic competitions aimed at encouraging members of all segments of society to memorise the Holy Quran and master its recitation, discovering Quranic talents and abilities, and strengthening the community’s connection with the Holy Quran.

The award’s competitions include a competition for people of determination; the Noor Al Himam competition for persons with autism, organised by the Centre in cooperation with the Emirates Autism Association; the Quranic Readings Competition in the recitation of Imam Asim, as transmitted by Shu‘bah and Hafs; the competition for male and female Quran memorizers; and the Emirati Mothers’ Competition.

The final qualifiers build on the Award’s continued journey in serving the Holy Quran, encouraging its memorisation and the mastery of its recitation, while providing an opportunity for all segments of society to participate in Quranic competitions that showcase their abilities and talents.

The specialised committees are continuing the final qualifiers in accordance with the Award’s approved programme, in preparation for completing the assessment stages, announcing the results and honouring the male and female winners at the conclusion of the 20th edition.

The Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Centre for Quranic Service commended the generous patronage and continued support extended by His Highness the Ruler of Ajman to the Award and its Quranic service programmes. It also expressed its appreciation for the follow-up and interest of His Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman in Quranic programmes, which further strengthens their presence and role within the community
