The International Charity Organization has inaugurated two residential villages and a range of educational and service projects across Africa. The first village, dedicated to orphans in the Republic of Benin, comprises 100 homes, while the second, in the Republic of Senegal, includes 50 homes, contributing to the provision of a safe and stable residential environment for beneficiaries.
Both villages feature integrated service facilities, each including a mosque, a Quran Memorisation Centre, a well providing clean water, a health centre and classrooms. These facilities address the essential needs of families and children and strengthen opportunities for education, healthcare and social stability.
His Excellency Dr Khalid Abdulwahab Al Khaja, Secretary General of the International Charity Organization, affirmed that the inauguration of these projects reflects the Organization’s commitment to implementing integrated humanitarian and development initiatives that go beyond providing immediate assistance by building stable communities capable of addressing livelihood challenges, in line with the UAE’s deeply rooted humanitarian approach to supporting communities in need around the world.
His Excellency said that the Organization’s vision is not limited to building homes and providing shelter; it also extends to empowering people and creating a better future for them and their families. He highlighted the Organization’s commitment to ensuring its charitable projects deliver sustainable impact through the establishment of integrated villages and complexes combining housing, education, healthcare, worship and clean water.
Such projects, he said, ensure that local communities benefit over the long term and strengthen their ability to achieve stability and development.
His Excellency expressed his thanks and appreciation to the benefactors and donors who contributed to the completion of these projects, affirming that their generosity is a fundamental pillar in sustaining the Organization’s humanitarian mission and expanding the reach of its projects around the world.
