The Ajman Department of Municipality and Planning has announced the issuance of 1,407 completion certificates during the first half of 2026, compared to 1,312 certificates during the same period in 2025 — a growth rate of 7.24%. This reflects continued growth in the Emirate’s urban development sector and the efficiency of procedures adopted to accelerate customer service delivery, in alignment with the targets of Ajman Vision 2030.
Engineer Ahmed bin Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director of the Buildings Department at the Department, affirmed that the increase in the number of completion certificates issued reflects the sustained activity witnessed in Ajman’s construction sector. He noted that the Department continues to develop its services and procedures related to buildings — supporting urban growth and enhancing the quality of completed projects.
He explained that the issuance of completion certificates is subject to an integrated system of technical and regulatory procedures, encompassing verification that buildings meet all compliance requirements and confirmation that safety standards and approved technical specifications have been applied prior to the granting of the certificate — ensuring the quality and sustainability of buildings.
He noted that the Department employs advanced operational processes to facilitate the customer journey, through the simplification of procedures and the enhancement of integration between digital systems — contributing to the reduction of transaction processing time and the elevation of service efficiency for the construction and building sector.
Engineer Ahmed bin Sultan Al Nuaimi added that the rise in the number of completion certificates issued during the first half of the current year reflects the continued demand for construction projects in the Emirate and confidence in the investment environment that Ajman provides — supported by advanced infrastructure and a regulatory ecosystem that keeps pace with the needs of urban growth.
The Director of the Buildings Department at the Department of Municipality and Planning affirmed that the Department continues its efforts to develop the construction sector and elevate the level of project oversight — achieving a balance between accelerating completion and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety, and supporting the building of a sustainable urban environment that meets the aspirations of the community.
It is worth noting that the Ajman Department of Municipality and Planning continues to develop its building services ecosystem and strengthen the regulatory and supervisory procedures related to the construction and building sector — contributing to the support of sustainable urban development, the elevation of project quality, and the provision of an integrated urban environment that keeps pace with the Emirate’s future aspirations.
