Abdulaziz bin Humaid Attends the Closing Ceremony of the Seventh Edition of Ajman Summer 2026

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media, attended the closing ceremony of the seventh edition of the Ajman Government’s summer programme, Ajman Summer 2026.

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Ajman Citizens Affairs Office; His Excellency Yasser Al Gargawi, Director General of Sandooq Al Watan; Her Excellency Hessa Tahlak, Assistant Undersecretary for the Empowerment of People of Determination and Senior Citizens Sector at the Ministry of Family; Her Excellency Shatha Al Mulla, Assistant Undersecretary for the National Identity and Arts Sector at the Ministry of Culture; and Mr Jassim Ahmed Al Dabal, Director of the Youth Centres Department at the Federal Youth Authority.

Ajman Summer 2026 embodies the Ajman Government’s commitment to providing a purposeful summer environment that invests the time of students, young people and youth in programmes that combine knowledge, experience and entertainment. It contributes to skills development, talent discovery, creativity and community participation, in line with the directions of Ajman Vision 2030 to invest in people and enhance quality of life.

The programme concluded its seventh edition after five weeks of diverse activities, achieving results that exceeded its established targets. The edition delivered 287 activities and programmes, benefiting 7,399 participants.

These results reflected the scale of community engagement with the programme and the impact achieved by the seventh edition in developing participants’ skills and fostering creativity and teamwork, through the integrated efforts of participating and supporting entities and working teams.

Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi affirmed that Ajman Summer has become a vibrant space where learning meets experience, and where the potential of young people and youth is transformed into skills, values and participation that make an impact in society. He noted that the achievements of the seventh edition reflect Ajman’s ability to develop programmes that are close to the community, invest young people’s time in ways that benefit them, and open doors to discovery, creativity and teamwork.

He stated that the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi has given Ajman Summer renewed momentum and consolidated its presence as a platform bringing entities and partners together around one goal: creating a purposeful summer that places people at the heart of the experience. He affirmed that the success of this edition is not measured solely by the number of activities, but by the confidence it has instilled in participants, the opportunities it has provided, and the sense of belonging, responsibility and future readiness it has strengthened among them.

During the ceremony, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi honoured the programme’s strategic partners, Sandooq Al Watan and the Federal Youth Authority, in recognition of their role in supporting Ajman Summer and contributing to its success. The supporting entities, represented by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Family, were also honoured in appreciation of their contribution to the success of the seventh edition’s activities.

The ceremony also honoured the winners of the seventh edition’s Excellence Awards, in recognition of the entities, programmes, working teams and individuals that made distinguished contributions to achieving the programme’s objectives.

The Excellence Award winners included the Ajman Government Human Resources Department’s Parliament of the Future programme, which won the Best Initiative Award; Al Ihsan Charity Association’s Our Summer is Benevolence programme, which won the Best Community Programme Award; the Ajman Department of Economic Development’s Al Surood Competition, which won the Best Competition Award; and the Sports Programme for People of Determination at Ajman Club for People with Disabilities, which won the Best Sports Programme Award.

The Ajman Department of Finance’s Play It Right Competition won the Best Recreational Programme Award, while the Ajman Municipality & Planning Department’s From Earth to Sky programme received the Best Workshop Award. City University Ajman’s Future Skills programme won the Best Artificial Intelligence Programme Award.

In the Best Specialised Government Programme category, the Ajman Protocol Department’s Work Etiquette and International Protocol programme and the Ajman Department of Finance’s Ajman Mal programme received awards. In the Best Specialised Semi-Government and Private-Sector Programme category, the Ajman Cooperative Society’s Future Managers Academy programme and the Ajman Social and Cultural Development Association’s X Agent programme were awarded.

The Ajman Department of Economic Development’s Design Your Smart Agent programme received the Best Scientific Programme Award; the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media’s Ajman Ambassadors programme received the Best Cultural Programme Award; the Ajman Government Media Office’s UAE Cultural Ambassador programme received the Best Heritage Programme Award; the General Department of Civil Defence in Ajman’s Civil Defence Friends course received the Best Professional Programme Award; and the Ajman Free Zones Authority’s Ajman Summer Media Studio received the Best Media Programme Award.

At working-team level, the Ajman Department of Economic Development, the Ajman Government Human Resources Department and the Ajman Municipality & Planning Department received the Best Working Team Award. Salama Al Kaabi of the Ajman Free Zones Authority, Moza Al Shuwaikhi of the Ministry of Health Representative Office, and Awatif Saud Amer of Al Ihsan Charity Association received the Best Coordinator Award.

The Ajman Municipality & Planning Department won the Best Media Coverage Award among participating entities, while the Al Rabia Wal Nas programme on Ajman TV and Radio won the Best Media Coverage Award among media outlets. Ajman University received the Best Cooperating Entity Award, Umm Al Moumineen Association received the Distinguished Entity Award in the semi-government and private-sector category, and the Ajman Department of Economic Development received the Distinguished Entity Award in the local government entities category.

The Excellence Awards affirm the programme’s commitment to consolidating a culture of quality and innovation, motivating entities, working teams and individuals to deliver quality programmes with a community impact, and recognising the efforts that have strengthened Ajman Summer’s presence as an active summer platform in the Emirate.

The ceremony concluded with an affirmation of the continued development of Ajman Summer in a manner that enhances its role in discovering talent, developing skills, instilling positive values and supporting the participation of all segments of the community in purposeful summer programmes..
