Ajman Transport Concludes the Future of Transport Hackathon 2026 with the Participation of 50 Innovators and Honours Winning Projects

The Ajman Transport Authority has concluded the Future of Transport Hackathon, which brought together 50 participants from diverse disciplines as part of the Authority’s efforts to promote innovation and digital transformation and empower talent to develop smart and innovative solutions that support the future of the transport sector.

The hackathon brought together students, innovators, developers, and individuals interested in technology and artificial intelligence. Participants worked to develop distinctive ideas and projects that contribute to addressing transport sector challenges, improving the customer experience, and enhancing service efficiency through the application of modern technologies.

A number of participating projects were presented to the judging panel, which assessed the ideas according to criteria including innovation, applicability, anticipated impact on the development of the transport system, and their contribution to enhancing service quality and sustainability.

At the conclusion of the event, the Ajman Transport Authority honoured three winning projects. The “Agentic AI-Powered Transport System” project secured first place, followed by the “Transport Continuity” project in second place, while the “Smart Decision-Support Platform” project was awarded third place. The recognition was granted in appreciation of the innovative and scalable solutions presented by these projects, which support the Authority’s directions towards smart and sustainable transport services.

Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi, Director of the Digital Solutions Department, affirmed that the Future of Transport Hackathon reflects the Authority’s success in providing a stimulating platform for creativity and innovation, and in attracting high-calibre talent and distinctive ideas that contribute to developing practical solutions in support of the future of the transport sector.

He added that the participating projects demonstrated a distinguished level of technological awareness and the ability to employ artificial intelligence and digital solutions to address future challenges. He affirmed that the Authority continues to support initiatives that foster innovation and create opportunities for talent to contribute to the development of a more efficient and sustainable transport system.
