‏Ajman Municipality Delegation Meets Huawei Vice President During HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 in Shanghai

A delegation from Ajman Municipality & Planning Department, led by His Excellency Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, held a meeting with Steven Shen Jianfeng, Vice President of the Government Public Services Digitalisation Business Unit, International Market Development Department at Huawei, along with a group of experts and specialists.

The meeting was attended by Dr Engineer Khalid Moeen Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector; His Excellency Yousef Mohammed Al Shaiba, Executive Director of the Rental Regulation Sector; and Ibrahim Samra Al Shihi, Director of the Communication and Community Department.

The meeting reviewed the latest smart technologies and solutions, including communication networks, fibre optics and Wi-Fi, the Internet of Things, smart sensors, command and control centres, and data analytics. It also introduced smart applications and solutions in inspection, monitoring and operations management.

The meeting took place during the delegation’s visit to the HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 Conference and Exhibition in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China. During the visit, the delegation explored the latest technologies and innovations in artificial intelligence, technology and digital transformation, and reviewed international experiences and best practices in deploying advanced technological solutions.

The visit aligns with the Department’s direction towards employing advanced technologies and artificial intelligence, and benefiting from sophisticated digital solutions to enhance its operational systems and services.

During its tour of the exhibition accompanying the conference, the delegation reviewed the latest technologies in artificial intelligence, computing, networks, digital infrastructure and the Internet of Things, as well as advanced technological solutions and applications and leading global trends and experiences.

His Excellency Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi affirmed that the delegation’s visit forms part of sustained efforts to strengthen cooperation and partnerships with leading entities in vital fields, and to support the exchange of knowledge and expertise with specialised international companies. This enables the Department to keep pace with rapid developments in technology, artificial intelligence and digital transformation.

He highlighted Ajman Municipality & Planning Department’s commitment to keeping pace with accelerated advances in technology and artificial intelligence, benefiting from leading international experiences, strengthening the exchange of expertise, developing operational systems and leveraging advanced technological solutions.

The delegation also reviewed best practices in the media sector, the latest technologies in digital media and marketing, and methods for monitoring, analysis and measuring engagement and trends. It further explored the role of artificial intelligence and data analytics in supporting institutional communication and developing media plans and strategies.
